I work and frequently shop in Charlottesville and miss our store in my home town. Today I did not bring my card (VIC) when picking up coffee and to my surprise the clerk did not use a store card and charged me full price(items where half price from flyer). Pretty steep price for not bringing my card. I don’t plan on visiting Harris Teeter again any time soon. That was simply mean spirited!! Too bad they lost their customer this time.

Good, clean basic supermarket with a broad selection of products. Most staff greets you and asks if you've found everything, but a few are noncommunicative - our cashier today was wearing headphones and talked on them through our checkout. Prices are fair, supplies usually good. HT Traders brand is good quality and value. Update requested by Google Maps: this review is still appropriate, although we now try to use self checkout exclusively and the staff there is generally very helpful.

This was my first visit to this store, and it was really nice. Very clean and stocked. The flower department was impressive and I decided to go ahead and by Valentine's Day flowers, since their arrangements were so nice.
