Whats going on with the bus company? I've driven my son more times then the bus shows up.. the school district should send out something saying they can't keep drivers that way the parents can make sure the kids aren't late every day while the kids stand on a corner waiting for a bus that isn't coming. Maybe pay them for training and more hourly give bonuses or something because its getting old fast!

OPS has been a great school district to work for. I love how culturally inclusive they have become. They make a clear effort to provide equitable resources to parents & students of all backgrounds.

I'm very familiar with the tac building. It's like any other place in a city where you must go to sign your children up for school. You can also take your GED test here, I did and it was a great experience in 2008. As far as the personnel in The Community Services area their a hot mess their not out to help you. My past experiences with them have proven to ne our education system is screwed and will continue to be when u have personnel positioned in areas their not fit for. Basically if i didn't have to deal with them regarding schooling for my kids I wouldn't.

You always speak to a real person when you first call, which is a plus. I’ve been several times to the TAC building for pre-k screening, events, and hearing tests that are free and thorough. Everything is well-organized and you are seen on time for all appointments. All events at the TAC building have been amazing. My three complaints are transportation, pre-k screening, and whatever changes were made that made us lose all the teacher assistants this year. Our bus driver was suspended several times so drivers are sent after they complete their normal routes making the bus an hour to two hours late every day. They split our route into two, so at two separate times kids come to the pre-k room interrupting the class. They still have to feed them breakfast too. The call center is overrun with phone calls, so when I try to call to say don’t send the bus because we will walk this time, no one picks up. To get pre-k screening done takes more time then I’d like it to. Usually you have to wait two months or so after initial contact.

You will have to contact the school and request one. Which school do they attend?
OPS Nutrition Services is available at (531) 299-0230.
No it's not to late to enroll your grandson in Kindergarten go down to the TAC he has to have his kindergarten physical and immunizations before he can start
No the building is closed but they are doing open enrollment in the parking lot. Must wear mask and have hand sanitizer. 830 to noon
Sadly as of 2:04 am ops is still scheduled to be open wed the 22nd. There was some hope for a school day earlier as an ops staff member had posted today was a snow day but apparently thier account was just hacked or something like that.
Where can I register my girl?
Call the TAC Building and asked for records.
U have to come to Omaha Public School Office with a proof of new address.
