Houlover Beach never disappoints, it is one of the best beaches in Miami. Simple and very cheap parking. It is a spectacular experience if you are looking for tranquility.

Urban Paradise Guild has done a great job at removing invasive species and renewing the native Habitat. Their work here has helped bring about a rebound of the threatened & previously endangered Atala Butterfly. 🦋 Come check it out! It's a beautiful preserve.

I love this area. Great piece of nature in the city. I wish it was bigger and the college would stop trying to turn it into a street. Needs cleaned up and invasive plants removed but I also think it has great potential to sustain native protected species if cared for. A little community love and it's 5 stars

I believe part of the property is the preserve and the rest of the property is part of the university. They blocked it at the property line. It is a shame and I would hate to see it made into anything. It's a great place just as it is.
Sweetie, I doubt that. Not after that horrible accident that happened by the South Campus on 8th Street. FIU is too busy with pending lawsuits right now.
