Very unprofessional women. Not worth the travel and your money. They complain about the prices, the hair extensions you bring, your hair texture and the hairstyle you want to do. They have this sense of entitlement over your own hair. If you’re looking for a horrible experience, come here.

Maty has been doing my Locs for over 20 years. She actually started them for me both times. I had them for about 15 years then cut them when I moved to AZ. I moved back to LA and she started them again. After 14 years I recently moved back to AZ and cut them off again. (It's too hot for a head full of waist length locs in AZ. Now my son is starting his own Loc journey and I had to bring him here to Maty to get them started. Excellent quality, best prices, faster than any other place.

First time getting locks and when i called for an appointment they wanted to see my hair etc which was fine. I showed them something similar to what I wanted. I told them make it about 2inches of hair with extensions added. They gave me a quote of $450. When I got my hair done. I got about 1 inch at most of locs with extensions. And they would pass me off to different people when a regular customer came in. Fine place if this was your last option. Other than that just look around your area than having to drive 10miles for this.

I must have had an apprentice or something. Was greeted by no one upon arrival or spoken to at all during the service. The lady at the station next to me was rude to two of her clients. The woman was very rough with blow drying my hair and didnt’ use any product while doing my hair. I only got 6 straight back cornrows. It looks like I’ve had my braids for at least week and I got them done an hour ago.

Call and you can also text them a picture of how you want it for best answer to pricing.
they do everything...i seen them put dreads on a poodle
125 to start
Yes they do do them 99 and up depending on length
If that information is not provided on their website, I would call with some prepared pictures of your hair. Prices seem reasonable and the crew is accommodating.
Yes she /they most definitley can an they are exelenct at doing locs
Yes. Eventually it will grow and look even better.
Yes, they do. I know for a fact.
I cover mine nightly although they are short for now I still wake up without the durag on so I do wind up getting a retwist more frequently than others
Worst place ever!! Save your money and go somewhere else. They braid soooo tight that my hair was still stiff and tight two weeks later. I had bumps and pustuales around my scalp. She didn't dip the hair in hot water so my scalp broke out on top of everything else.
They are Professional, They Just Don't Play
$80 dollar
The last time I was there was on the 10th of last month and the owner was out of the country. I have no idea what the problem is and not certain if she has returned. Someone was answering the calls when I was there.
It depends. You would have to 📞
Yes, they are very good at it.
U can try. But it would be best to call and make appointment because they be very busy
Hi Ziggy, yes they do just call and ask Maty, at 323-931-2900
They crochet in repairs if they need to replace a few, but I get my locks palm rolled.
She charged me $200. I went for loc repair. It was washed, dried, cut, repaired, retwisted and braided into a style.
The cost for medium hair is 130.00
Well that is a very broad question for anybody to answer you. You need to call them directly.
Jollaf has NO SET pricing what so ever. Which in my opinion is extremely unprofessional considering that the salon is great. They basically just charge you whatever they feel like without any sort of guidelines in quoting. I paid $160 first visit and 95 every visit after was told it was only to tighten my dreads using the latchhook method, I asked if they could tease the ends for me they said it would be extra 💰. I know a bit about dreads and they will always milk your of all your cream here with little regard for customer retention. Don't go with the Insta-Lock BS they will ALWAYS sell you on. They're good lockticians, but I felt very much that they streamline their pricing and/or that they offer customers a monthly plan, like my previous locktician. $450 a month would get me 6 visits and in those 6 visits they would tighten my locs, clean up my neckline, and see to any other request or question I might have.
To starting price for dreads at Jolof Hair Salon is $130 and up. That's for shoulder length hair.
Try not to get dreads so tight at the ends and add moisture the dreads gently
I say 2 to 6 months, depending on who and how they do them. I have braids so I get my hair rebraided every 2 months.
I've seen them add extensions on a man's existing locs. Can't even discern it was added. Gave him a whole new look, thicker and longer!
When there's a lot of new growth the scalp doesn't show but after a fresh retwist the scalp shows
Start from $75 and up depending on hair lengths and condition
Maybe $125-200. I get braids, they only cost me $85. That includes wash, take-down & style.
Quality work, very professional.
Yes they do!!! They do a phenomenal job as well!!! Great group of hair stylist! Give them a call and set an appointment.
