This is a great place to take your out of town friends or family to experience dining in "the cloud". As the name implies, it sits on the 71st floor of the building. The view is amazing and the service from staff is top notch. The only let down is the food. It was quite salty. The food presentation is great however. Also, the fixed menu helps to take the guess out of the picture. The place is very popular and you need to make reservations. Valet parking only ($15) and $89 per person for 3 course meal (without wine).

The food is phenomenal. We stopped here on our cross-country trip. I'm just loving it, I would love to come again. I also ordered the penicillin cocktail, it was amazing! Parking wasn't hard to find, parking is $10 for the first two hours with validation, they also offer valet parking. I will definitely come back for a yummy dinner again!

Amazing experience. Definitely pricey, but worth it for the all encompassing experience. The drink was delicious, each course of the meal was amazing, and the view was breathtaking! We had a late reservation, so we had to valet pari. But its still wasn't too bad. We were there for 2 hours and it was $10.50 The wait staff was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

Update: Loved it so much I came back in one week! The cod is SPECTACULAR!!! Spectacular. Food is great. Limited menu but the food is on point. The 3-course is $89. The view is just unbelievable. The only pain is that they open at 5pm and it is very difficult to find parking and they will not let you up until 5. Other than that everything was perfect!

Just say you are going up for drinks at the bar and when you get there just say you want to inspect the venue for a future event you want to host so you just want a visual walk through. They will leave you alone.
It depends on the view that you are looking for and the tine you want to eat. If you want a window table (recommended) and want to eat at a standard time (let's say 6-7pm), then I have had to book 1-2 months out assuming you are looking for a weekend day. It is definitely worth the trouble! Wonderful food and service with an incredible view.
The kitchen is open until close at 11:00PM.
4 Alcoholic drinks, 2 standard three course meals, plus one shared desert was $300 total. There is an 18% automatic mandatory gratuity included into your total. So about $250 for food and $50 for the added gratuity.
There are bar, lounge and dining areas. You will be more than fine having under age guests in the dining and lounge areas.
Yes.
As long as its not too close... I think it states non-refundable though, as they sell out.
Yes. Just tell the concierge in the street level lobby that you are going to the bar.
Yes you can't, limit... I don't think they have one.
$75 per person for a 3 course meal alcohol and gratuity is separate. You get multiple choices to pick from in each course. Essentially designing your own dining experience. Dessert is not included in this price, but is definitively worth the extra coin. Enjoy! My girlfriend and I just celebrated there for our anniversary for the 3rd time and 2nd year in a row. It was our first date when we began dating, so every year on that same date for two years now, we go back and celebrate with the amazing staff! An experience not to be missed!
They have all ranges from under $100 to over $1000
Mario (below) is right. The restaurant does not have a deck, but a great view. However, one floor below the restaurant is Oue Skyspace, which I believe does have a deck
Yes they are
Pre fixed meals. I think 3 course runs about 95? No dessert.
Just show up and asked to be seated at the bar or lounge area .
Depends on what you want, but I suggest the $75/person for a 3-course meal. With a drink each and dessert, total was under $300 with tip/tax.
Yes. Valet on 5th across from library. $10 I think.
From their website: “The Restaurant and Skylounge have a Smart Casual dress code. For Gentlemen, jackets are not required, but suggested. Jeans are accepted. Collared shirts and dress shoes are recommended. Women's attire ranges from dresses to skirts, slacks, or jeans with casual or dressy top. let him be a kid and take him to Chuck-E-Cheese.
Yes. Dinner is in three courses at $75 and $45 additionally for wine pairing.
Just call and they will take care of you.
Not for sitting in the bar area and ordering a la carte
For dinner you do not need to be 21 years old they have non-alcoholic drinks.
Thanks Ingrid, I must’ve not worded my question correctly. How much is the corkage fee 😁
No you didn't have to look hard at all
The menu has three steps starter, dinner/food and dessert. We had wine and I spent around $300, but it was good food.
Yes 👍, the food is great and the view fabulous
Hello! At this time we are still currently closed due to COVID-19 indoor dining restrictions. As soon as new regulations are announced for indoor dining we will confirm a new reopening date. Thank you for your support! We truly appreciate it.
It will be around $70 for two people. Add wine pairing and that's another $40 give or take. I believe they add a gratuity like they do for dinner as well..which is 18%
The food is great if your wanting something different, flavorful, and very well presented. You're going to spend at least 300.00
Due to a changing menu, you'll need to request what the chef is currently making. But there are a number of options for each course and the waiter did ask if we had any preferences, allergies, gluten free or vegan/vegetarian.
I think that is the 3 course meal. If you check the website it will tell you.
Their by courses so for lunch starting at 16-60 and dinner 21-150. I would suggest getting reservation or you might not get in and be on time or you might also not get in. Amazing view.
About 4 pm
$201 with no alcohol.
Make a reservation for dinner and let the elevator attendants know. You do not have to purchase a tower ticket.
I don't understand the question?
Around $300 to 400 depending on hom many drinks you have..
Located DTLA. Although, I drove and parked in garage. I would suggest Valet parking. The concierge desk will check you in and direct you to the secured elevators. DTLA had a lot of foot traffic and homeless in the surrounding areas. Don't let this deter you for dining in an absolutely wonderful restaurant with a spectacular view of Los Angeles.
If going for dinne, for sure get a reservation. Gotta wait till sundown so you can see all the city lights! We walked in just for drinks and had no wait.
You can although when I made a reservation they required a deposit to hold the table. The deposit goes towards your meal price though
Nope
They don't ID at the door, and I took my under age daughter.
Absolutely. I celebrated my 60th Birthday at 71Above. The view is amazing and enjoyed dinner. Happy Anniversary ❣️
Check online or call
About a month, but call to confirm
Yes you can but there is a 40 dls charge to open it for you
Yes
yes there
Yeah your age shouldn't be a problem, I went (21) and my date (20) went and had no problem, just dress appropriatly and make a reservation. They have hundreds of different wines to choose from thats when age would be the problem.
We had no problem getting there and it was well worth it.
From their web site; Valet Service is available daily beginning at 5pm and is located in front of the building at 633 West 5th Street. The cost of Valet Parking is $10 with validation for the first 3 hours, with prevailing rates thereafter. Daytime Valet Service is also available in the building's parking structure Monday through Friday at 633 West Hope Place. The cost of daytime Valet Parking in the building's structure is $10 for the
I'd recommend leaving the kids at home. Service is longer than most could stand. The music is for adults. This really isn't a place kids would enjoy nor would other guests enjoy hearing the kids.
If you're going to worry about the cost, you probably shouldn't go there. Add note: The other night after a concert, I went up there and ordered a double Lagavulin, neet, with ice water chaser. With tax and gratuity, it was a few cents less than seventy-five bucks.
Yes
Yes - accordng to their website under Menus.
15 minute Grace period. But try to be there early because from the parking lot you have to be let in to the building by security up to the center floor and approve by security again
They have a 3 course dinner menu, where you select 1 out of 6 items for each course. You can pay for additional course items if desired. The 3 course dinner menu is $75. You can pair your selections with wine for an additional $45.
We didnt feel any need to finish lunch before any time, and i think the bar remains open-- great place, great staff!!
Very expensive and not worth it in my opinion. Food overly creative to the point of it being a bunch of sauces and creamy bland pastes on your plate with a tiny piece of protein somewhere. Be prepared for people wearing sneakers and hoodies and to be addressed by your first name.
Business Causal, but I'm not sure it's strictly enforced. For a guy, Polo Shirt and jeans were fine.
