The food here is great but the service is atrocious! Well first off you need to place your order through a website on your phone and then they will bring out your items (kinda weird but whatever). I ordered the brunch carbonara and the french press coffee. My buddy got the crispy french toast and a latte. The food and latte came out and it was delicious! However, I noticed I never got my french press. I flagged down two different employees stating I never got my french press. As time goes by, I am now all finished eating as the ingredients for the carbonara was so phenomenal, my plate was completely clean of food. Miraculously, a lady brings out my french press after I finished my meal. I stated I no longer need the coffee since I am done dining and will be leaving. Another employee asked how I was doing. I stated to him the situation and I requested a refund for the french press as I did not drink it nor was it served appropriately. He perpetuates the situation by replying “well it’s on your table now, you’re going to drink some of it now anyways.” As far as I know, that is not how serving at a restaurant works. Typically drinks come out before your entree. Not after you finish it! So no!, I have no intention of drinking my coffee after I finish my meal as I am about to leave. Hard to call yourself a restaurant with such unacceptable service.

Everything was phenomenal!!! Staff was always attentive and listening so that the second you even mention to the other person that you might need something they are right there to serve you. The food was delicious and there were plenty of healthy options. I will say the breakfast potato cubes were a little too salty, but the burger totally made up for that. The aesthetic was super cute and classy and the bathroom is guard permit only so it's very safe and clean.

What a great brunch! Simply walk down through the breezeway and Blue Jam Cafe is about in the middle. Our server sat us very quickly outside with our mini poodle and we were shown the qr code and were able to order everything on our phones and pay as well. I got the eggs benedict and added a little habanero sauce for a little kick and it was perfect. My friend got the steak hash and loved it. The portions are GENEROUS and the mimosas were nice too. Loved it, would definitely return.

I love Blu Jam and consider it to be a top LA brunch place. This was my first time visiting the DTLA location and any Blu Jam post pandemic and it was disappointing. Here is what was great: the host is amazing: friendly and efficient. He is a great brand ambassador. The ambience is nice especially if you can sit in the patio area. There's great natural light. But what didn't work: It says on the website they use Yelp waitlist. They do not, at least not at the DTLA location. They use the QR code scanning version of ordering but it makes for an awkward brunch experience. The food doesn't come out in a specific order and the servers were too busy to address any of our questions. And depending on your mobile service we went through three phones to order before we could get the order through. My breakfast pasta wasn't served hot. And my coffee was also lukewarm. They don't serve coffee so you're expected to order another cup of coffee if you're done. I tried to ask the server a question about the French press and she said she came back and never did. Must park on the street or one of the surrounding lots which can easily add to the stress or $10. Open to hearing the best lots to park at!

Pershing square underground lot, outside open lots or street parking. Sunday street parking is free in DTLA. Best time to hit downtown restaurants are Sunday morning if you want to avoid paying expensive parking fees!
