It was our server’s first day on the job. Luis had to ask about how to add the kamikaze shot to the chicken skewer dish. He ended up forgetting to ask and had to be reminded by us to put it in. Inside the chocolate monkey that comes with the monkey drink was a small blue metallic wire that my wife unfortunately but into. We found ourselves underwhelmed by the manager’s response and he just gave us a new chocolate monkey (wouldn’t they want to know if the wire was in multiple monkeys?). The manager promised to deliver a new share plate since the bad monkey was on that plate but upon his delivery of a new monkey he forgot to give us a new plate! The one thing we needed to continue the meal. The wheelbarrow salad was a real let down too and not worth it. Very bitter. They ignored the fact that most of the salad was still present and did not ask if we enjoyed the salad or not. Entrees came out and, for an additional cost, we had ordered the chive bernaise sauce to go without steak only they confirmed it actually did not have any chives in it. We ordered the NY strip medium rare but it came out medium well, again we didn’t want to complain because we knew it would take forever to get a new one. I ordered a second round of drinks before the entree arrive but again Luis did not put in our drink order until after being reminded for the second time that we had asked for them, causing delays and confusion. Desserts came out and obviously there’s no way to finish the cotton candy head on our own but when we asked for it to be boxed up, Luis showed annoyance and reluctance. In the middle of the meal, Luis even showed remorse by cursing at the table saying it was “shitty” having this level of service, but upon receiving the digital bill nothing was done to rectify the wire in the monkey, twice reminding about drink orders and the general lack of attention. The meal was flashy and each menu item came with its own visual stimulant overload. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back unless with a group or for someone else’s birthday. I would not come back of my own free will, sorry G. Also, if you use valet they will charge you an extra dollar for using a credit card vs cash so have your cash ready.

How does it compare to it's Miami location?

Lori Silk | Sep 15, 2018
RHONDA CARTER | Sep 15, 2018

I have only seen pics of the Miami location as I sent my sister there for her b'day. She loved it and from the pics, it's much more spacious and lots of greenery. You have some elbow room, the tables aren't crammed up so close together. The outside seating looked beautiful! She said the food and service were wonderful and they were very helpful and accommodating for me surprising her with drinks etc.
