Going from an individual Broker running a mid-sized property management company to a full service real estate brokerage is not an easy task. It wasn't until I found NextHome that I felt I had a company that would give me the back office tools needed to compete with all the brand names out there. Before moving to Prunedale, CA, just north of the beautiful Salinas Valley, we lived in Mountain View, CA, in the proverbial heart of Silicon Valley, home to Google. Yep, I'll admit I submitted multiple employment applications to Google, longing to ride the multi-colored bikes, bring my dog to work, drink the Google punch. All to no avail. Let's face it, I'm not the right generation, Google was not hiring 40-somethings. Their loss! was my mantra. Fast forward ten years. Along comes NextHome with it's lots-of-white-space playful branding and I'm stopped in my tracks. Take that, Google! Here's my chance to get as close to working for Google as I ever may and, working as a Realtor (often) out of my home office, I can take my dog to work! NextHome's founders are concerned with practicalities involving finding creative solutions such as Mobile Connect and National Listing Distribution ... I'm obsessed with our French Bulldog mascot called Luke. OK now you know, I'm a dog person big time. My first listing, a triple-wide manufactured home in Moss Landing, CA has motivated me to implement all of NextHome's integrated mobile and far-reaching internet solutions. The result? I've gotten calls from as far as Santa Rosa, CA and San Diego, CA to the north and south, Placerville, CA to the East. And not all the calls originated online ... the Smart Sign™ rider on the yard signpost is generating leads as well. If I'm reading our MLS stats correctly, my listing has only been viewed six times in the month of July, only SIX! If I didn't have NextHome pushing my listing to hundreds of websites, the home would languish on the market and, most importantly, my Seller would be disappointed and unimpressed with my performance. My listing had been with another agent prior so I've been even eager to provide a better experience for my Seller. After only three weeks on the market, I wrote not one but two offers last night. I know it's not done 'til it's done but I have no reason to foresee anything but a positive outcome. There's no price I can put on the thrill I could hear in my Seller's voice when I asked to schedule a presentation of offers PLURAL. I've drunk the NextHome punch.
