Beware all Combat Vets, there is a lazy girl who seems to hate her job working the front desk in the morning who doesn’t care about common courtesies, customer service, or doing her job and answering the phone when she doesn’t feel like it; regardless of how many times you call or the severity of the issue. She’s the type of girl who wants everything handed to her without having to earn it. You’ve been warned.

This is the worst place you could ever go to as a Veteran. They will lie to you. I don't understand why Sacramento County taxpayers have to pay for this as part of their taxes. This should be full funded by the federal government. The people here are complexly useless. If you have issues they refer you to the agency that referred you to them. I tried to get help but and advice but all they were allowed to do is refer me to the website.

I’ve been using these guy’s for years. Two kids moving through college and veterans disability. Nothing but professional attitude from all. I empathize sometimes by customers who demand, not ask of services. It takes a very patient person to work behind the window. I applaud your service and look forward to our next encounter. Stay safe.

7/16/2019 today I went in to get a DMV form for my Real-ID and I was taken care in a reasonable time and the lady who help me was a happy person. She sat at the very end at the other side of the office, did not get her name. Thanks anyway and Job Well Done!

To request your medical records, you would need to submit an SF180 to the National Archives. We can assist you with sending the request or you can submit it through the National Archives website electronically at: https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center/other-medical-records
Thomas, We do work with community organizations such as Volunteers of America and can connect you to their resources. They do provide assistance with employment and housing services. VOA is located at Mather at 10618 Schirra Ave, Mather, CA 95655 and the phone number for their Employment Services is: Employment (916) 661-5149.
You can request a copy through the National Archives website at: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records. If you would like to come see us, we can assist you in sending in a request via the SF180.

Monica, We can assist you in connecting to your VA Medical Care as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. If you are uncertain, you can call the Eligibility and Enrollment Office at VA Hospital at Mather at 916-843-7035 and they can answer any questions. To enroll, you will need a copy of your DD214.
That office has moved to Research Dr. In Sacramento
You need your DD214, Member 4 copy that shows the characterization of discharge and current DL or ID. This will be sufficient to generate the VSD-001 to take to the DMV to get "Veteran" added to your DL or ID.
You might want to call them and ask for an appointment for this.
Not sure about that

I went to Dixon Memorial Ceremony for information. You can get forms online. I prefer using the phone. This is one of the most helpful, dignified and respectful veteran services available.
