Sept 2, 2022, 14:30PM - waited over 20 min outside for propane. Only 1 customer in the store. I was reassured several times somebody will come. Had to leave without propan.. nobody looks like really want to help.

Depending on who helps with the transaction I usually get either good or great service here. They have a big supply of boxes and many trucks. Parking can be a challenge sometimes but workable. There's almost always a group of laborers for hire near the street entrance which are not associated with U-Haul but they can be a helpful option if you're in need of help moving something big.

Went to have hitch installed on brand new Subaru Forester. Needed a 1-1/4". U-Haul (Concord) ordered part. We returned for install. They installed a 2" hitch (apparently ordered the wrong part). Tried to convince us to just use an adapter. No, we wanted the correct size. They ordered the correct size. Came back a week later to have correct size installed. Two weeks later (while washing car) noticed that the body part behind the front passenger wheel well (don't know what it's called ... maybe part of the fender system) was missing entirely. Looked on the other side and noticed that the push rivets connecting the other side were also missing. (The part hadn't fallen off yet but that was just a matter of time.) Went back to U-Haul today. Of course they were adamant that no, they don't touch that part while installing a hitch and there's no way the missing part had anything to do with them. Of course. We'll spend $500+ getting it replaced and repaired at the dealership. Should have gone there to have the hitch installed in the first place. It would have been done correctly and probably would have cost us less. I would definitely think twice before having this particular U-Haul branch install a hitch on a new car (or any car for that matter).

Just don't show up
Just like you, everyone needs a van or truck on the weekend at the end of the month. Unfortunately unless you had made a reservation at least a week in advance there will be NOTHING available. All reservations are subject to availability so if you make one today you will receive a confirmation number, but dont waste your time because that is all you will get. Calling the store will forward you to the call center in Arizona, and the person on the phone will give you a confirmation number for your reservation and then not tell you it is subject to availability, they might even tell you that it is available. I assure you that is NOT the case. If you want to rent a truck last minute, your only option with uhaul is to free up some time for youself in the middle of the week and do the move then when most of the trucks are just sitting on the lot.

A flat rate of around $29.00 per day is usually the going rate and there is no miles accounted for 24 hour period
