The museum is under renovations when we visited, so we couldn't get the full experience. However, the exhibits they had in the administrative building were all beautiful. I especially enjoyed the large mural and the chair installation on the second floor. Both evoked a lot of feeling from me. I'd love to come back to see the full property.

Today I was finally able to visit the NOAAM. To date most exhibits are being housed at the administrative building while more permanent facilities, across the street, are awaiting restoration or construction. There are two outdoor exhibits that can be viewed on the property across the street. The current space is small but is being used to display very impressive and important works by artists across the diaspora. This museum is definitely worth the visit and the nominal entrance fee. I look forward to the completion of the permanent site.

This is an amazing place. Currently the museum is only using one campus. But there's an exhibit there now Paper Monuments. It is great. All the history in New Orleans is there. Well not all the history. But a lot of it. Especially some of the most impactful stuff.

Yes. You can make an appointment but I'm not sure what the timeframe is. They might need earlier notice.
No parking lot, but it's usually pretty easy to curbside parking within a block or two.
Please call the museum to verify. But it was open 11am to 4pm Thursday to Sunday. Yes there is a fee. I believe the Paper Monuments exhibit is still there. It's an amazing space. They are rebuilding and reorganizing and raising money for the same so please be patient with them.
