Was taking a walk from the old Algiers Courthouse after early voting and stopped in. Cool selection from art pieces to jewelry. I didn't take pics out of respect for the artists intellectual property. 😊

Very interesting, Mr. Gillum is a wealth of blues information, a true gem of the city!

As a tourist here, expected a good bit more as it was mapped as a museum, 75 dollars in Ubers later from/to french quarter was disappointing. Local culture is great but a few vendors and a one room were too simple and left a meh feeling.

Sure

What is the cost to visit this museum? We are in a red eye bus tour and trying to make our schedule for the day. So with that being said what are the days and hours of operation also.

You have to call ahead and make plans - they do it all themselves there! I would also leave a little wiggle room - when I went they were stuck in some traffic and couldn't make it over to open til about 30 or 40 minutes later than we had planned. That being said, they apologized and it was well worth it and a great experience! I believe donation was only suggested, but I left $20. If you're taking the ferry over from the city allow time to do that in your plans as well.
