You can really tell they care; The inside and outside are very well kept and CLEAN. The animals look well cared for and are probably some of the happier ones I've seen in my rescue visits; Gianna seems like a pro at trying to match up a pet to your NEEDS;Sometimes what you think you want because it's cute? Isn't what will be suitable for your situation and she was very patient with her direction, which is a big help when you can be so OVERWHELMED with such a HUGE decision. This place should be on the top of your search list in the central/south jersey area.

Awesome place! I am fostering my dog until I officially adopt her. Everyone is super friendly. I love my dog so much. Adopt don't shop!!!

Only good thing about AHS is I adopted a wonderful dog named Balto, he’s a sweetheart. It’s not the dogs fault, if I could give AHS no stars for their customer service I would as well as their vet Dr.Marion. They give you a 10 day “grace period” to utilize their vet in case of any emergency or issues, I dropped off a stool sample because Balto was having diarrhea since his adoption which they stated was getting better and was likely due to diet, over that week never tested him for anything like parasites and was quick to throw antibiotics at you to give him,so I was seeking support since I also have another dog at home and wanted to make sure Balto was well. I dropped off a stool sample as suggested to them, they never called me back until day 12 of that “10 day Grace period” they stated nothing was wrong, I took him to my other dogs vet, immediately tested him for a parasite giardia, it was positive. Now I am treating both dogs as this is highly contagious in animals, when it comes to adoption save a poor dog just get your own vet and do not rely on them for support. Kat was the only person that was helpful, unfortunately she doesn’t work all the time, the other lady at the front Kim was absolutely miserable. Her attitude was extremely negative and was argumentative because she clearly doesn’t like to work and just sits there. I was asking her questions at time of the adoption and it appeared as if she couldn’t be bothered. Overall, this experience was frustrating when adopting a dog should be a positive and happy process. Thanks AHS for our dog Balto but you should consider clearing out the house with your staffing.

My daughter and I visited the shelter on a whim yesterday. Each staff member/volunteer we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. They cages were clean and we witnessed dogs being taken out to be walked. I hope to be a volunteer here in the future.

Hi, you have to contact the shelter directly. Your question posted to Google Maps
Feral cats are a major threat to NATIVE species, birds, reptiles especially. Do not release put them in a no kill shelter. Saving one feral cat kills hundreds of other animals if released. If you love animals then put it in a dhelter.
Donate directly to that shelter
