In my book, service after the sale is what sets companies apart; some are good at it and some are not. We've been with A.J. Perri for over 14 years, so they must be doing something right! Over this Labor Day weekend our new AC system developed a water leak, (hence deducting the one star, as it is only 3 months old). To their credit, A.J. got a technician out here on Labor Day, unfortunately, he wasn't able to fix the issue and follow up service was scheduled. Initially, the follow up service was 3 days out. With a couple of health problems in the household (one of them being me just having heart surgery) the 3 days seemed like it would be an eternity without AC and the weather being typically humid. I placed a call about the situation to the service center, and they did a lot of good old footwork and got us the follow up service the same day! Special thanks to Jane, Brenna and - especially - Ernest. He let me know he'd do his best to make something happen sooner, and he'd call back as soon as he had something in place. Within an hour I received his call back with the great news. Throughout, he was totally professional and reassuring. A.J. Perri ownership, if you're reading this, please make sure Ernest gets the kudos he deserves! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say Ernest saved the day! Another special thanks to Patrick, the technician who came out to do the service on the follow up call. Professional and personable would best describe this guy! He definitely knew his stuff!

I was told that my Dual capacitor and air compressor were shot and and that my entire unit needed to be replaced, of course the repairman set up a an appointment for salesman to come out to my house to try to sell me an entire unit later that day, whom I promptly dismissed. I have a home warranty company that came out and did the repair in 6 minutes, all that I needed was the Dual capacitor replaced. AJ could have put a capacitor in to see of that would have done the trick and I would have paid THEM for the repair in the interest of time. But they were too interested in trying to sell me a new unit. I also learned from someone else who used to work for them that the repairman gets a cut of the sale if I did buy a new unit. So basically don't call them if you want something repaired because they're going to try to sell you a new unit they're not interested in repairing yours. I'll never call them again.

If you have a Blue Guardian Maintenance Agreement, there is no additional charge. If you do not have a Maintenance Agreement, the trip charge is $179 Monday-Friday after 11 PM, and Saturday and Sunday after 7 PM.
In most cases, because our technicians arrive in a fully stocked truck, repairs can be made the same day.
As service calls are typically booked same day we provide a “call ahead” service confirming when our technician is on their way – usually ½ hour before they would arrive at the home.
The trip charge covers the technician’s time to arrive at your home, assess the situation, which can sometimes take up to an hour, and provide you with options and upfront pricing for the repair or replacement. If you choose to proceed with a repair, the trip charge would be waived or later credited once the work is completed.

People often ask if they can speak with the same technician who came out, but we route all communications through our call center, as the technicians are often in the field. But rest assured, our Customer Service Representatives are well-qualified and highly trained to answer all of your questions and concerns.
We do keep detailed electronic service, maintenance, and installation records. Sometimes people misplace their paperwork or move into a new house with equipment (air conditioner, furnace, water heater, etc.) that we’ve installed. We’re happy to look it up!
When your renewal is due, the technician completing the last service will offer you the renewal options and establish the new contract.
