Local 7 Ironworks . A vet . 8 =10 . Hard work. The math is just a skill. One of many, you should have. If you would like to apply.

My fadder was a ironworker. Great bunch of people. Little rough around the edges , you get used to it. Sort of

If you are white then apply and you will go through the regular process (which is normal) but if you are not white ( visibly non colored skin and black or brown eyes ) you will have a very hard time getting into the union because they'll ask you for various requirements. White applicants get in and start training. Plain and simple do not let anyone tell you otherwise because it is a flat out lie and you can find out within a week of applying.

I would not recommend applying to be an apprentice for Iron Workers Local 7, to start it off the level professionalism is absolutely horrible granted yes it's construction and most people in a trade don't have the best personality's. I broke my neck trying to gather all the necessary documents to apply to the union the fact that I haven't been in high school in over 10 years and in college in over 3 years doesn't make it any easier to get transcripts so that right there was challenging on it's own. then after submitting everything I had to wait 6 months to even get one email thanking me on applying. there is an exam before you can call your self an apprentice they didn't even let me take the exam and when I emailed the John Sullivan the coordinator he simply gave me one word answer's because he didn't wanna deal with me I asked him if I could take the exam and he never returned my email. later that day he sent me an official letter denying my application as well as over 201 people who also applied and 80% were black & 20% Hispanic and 1% white, they only let that 1% white into local 7 and the reset of us got denied sounds to me something ain't right here. I Have over 5 years in the field so it definitely not my credentials.
