Great clean facility. FOTAS ( Friends of the animal shelter) Today I had training and walked a sweet shelter dog. Adopted a dog in 2019 and knew this is a good shelter.

We have adopted ALL of our fur babies from the Aiken County Shelter over the last 8 years. We are absolutely thrilled with all the updated services and equipment and buildings. Thank God for F.O.T.A.S. (Friends of the Animal Shelter), Foster Families, Volunteers and of course, Loving Families that have adopted their pets from the Aiken County Animal Shelter!

The once anxious and timid “Ace”, has now become an amazing and absolutely loyal companion renamed "Rooster" since bringing him home! Despite his traumatic past and abandonment, I can tell the shelter staff showed him as much love as they could! The staff even recommended him despite him being the "timid" and "passed by" dog there. The staff, shared with us how the found him and his temperament which was helpful; they also gave us advice and a bit of education with adopting a dog with an abusive past. Adopting Rooster has been one of my best life choices!! As I type this, I’d love to thank you for rescuing my Rooster boy and not giving up on him. Enjoy these pictures of my forever good boy 🐓

Sometimes we get a small dog or terrier type on the adoption floor. You can go to the shelter and fill out a request for what you want and they will call you when one is available. You will be put on a list.
Call them and ask... I think 18
I don't know. I was only there to fill out an app for assistance with spaying my kitten.
Check their website: fotasaiken.org
Can I bring a feral in at 830am
I think it is about 10.00 dollars
Are you still looking for a pit
Try this website for inventory. You just asked a question to Google Maps about the shelter's pets. https://www.fotasaiken.org
Yes do you want one
I do think so and sometimes they do it for free due to your income. You can even call them and ask.
Small dogs go fast, but if you call, they have a list
Sorry for your lost. Very nice people at the shelter that are more than willing to help you
I didn't see any rabbits. They have dogs and cats.
The animals up for adoption change daily.
Yes I agree call them and find out what the best measures are to take. They have certain days and hours that they take animals...not sure what they are.
Only for animals adopted from there.
You can surrender your animals here. We took a stray there and they openly took the cat and were so nice in handling her even as a stray.
I would continue to check out the closest animal rescue to you. Adopt A Pet is also a good resource. It is online and has variety. However you will be surprised what really good pets that are in your local shelter.
Yes they will
Aiken County Animal Shelter on Wire Rd
Yes
Yes however must be on a leash and requested before appointment
I adopted a 3 yr old stray pit bull mix. The shelter wasn't sure if he was house trained or not but my fiance and I could tell he was once we took him home and spent some time with him. The shelter also provides a free trainer.
No I don't but where I live at ppl drop off dogs left and right
You won't get a response from the shelter here, this is Google. You would actually have to email or call the shelter directly. They have no way of seeing your question about the doberman.
Yes they do
No, not usually
They are open you need to knock on the doorz but they have papers in front of the last building4...I hope this helps you...
So I can take my Sheppard there to get fixed?
There are normally several small kennels with kittens where the front desk is located. There is also a "Cat House" with adult cats in a separate building. The best thing is to go by for a visit and see which kittens will steak your heart!
I would check the website. They keep it pretty up to date
They do keep records for animals that have come through the shelter. Give them a call and I'm sure they will give you what ever they have.
So, you have to be 18 to volunteer by yourself. If you are under 18 you have to have a legal guardian with you. If want to walk dogs the guardian has to have leash, if you want to pet kittens and cats you have to have your guardian supervise but you can handle them. You also have to be 18 years old or older to adopt.

I have manage to find a good home for the puppy thank everyone for the answers.
You can surrender animals to the shelter mon thru fri from noon until 4.
Please contact the shelter for that info
Each county should have their own animal control department.
This question does not go directly to the animal shelter but to Google guide services. So you may want to call them to verify information. First, I am very sorry about your dog. I'm sure he brought you many years of joy. I do not believe that shelter provides the service of disposing of departed animals. However, all veterinary services do.
If you would like to have an officer come and pick the dog/dogs up there will be a fee. I do believe it is $75, dont quote me on that. But if you come to the shelter there isnt a fee to surrender a stray, but if you've had the dog for more than 2 weeks it's a $15 surrender fee.
This message does not go directly to the animal shelter but to a google map user forum. As someone who has used the animal shelter services I can tell you that that they do not breed discriminate. You can adopt and surrender all kinds of pure breeds and mixed breeds at this shelter. If you are still concerned you should call the shelter directly.
Thanks I will try them ,thank you
Call animal control. They will pick them up and take them to the shelter
Can yall take four kittens?I found them, but cat keep because where I live.
If he's that friendly, he'll probably come right to you. If you can, keep him and love him. Animals are very appreciative to those that are kind to them.
What kind of help do you need?
This is a kill shelter but they only euthanize unadoptable pets who are too dangerous to adopt out. Right now they are full due to a huge amount of dogs brought in during the past month.
Contact the shelter directly
They let you tour if you go there
