Can i get my Massachusetts licence I've been living in New York for about 8 years just moved back?

I brought my passport, my out of state license, my social security card, my most recent pay stub, and my bank statement. I don't think the passport was necessary but I don't remember. Basically things that prove your identity and your address...it says more definitively on their website.

Probably. I'm not entirely sure, but what I am sure of is that appointments are now being booked online at least two weeks in advance. I was there a couple days ago and they were behind an hour which also didn't help. I would recommend going on the website, booking an appointment, and printing up the confirmation email. If not, screenshot it. They also have some self-help options. The Worcester RMV is not always easy to deal with and the coronavirus makes things worse. Amy is correct. You can now do mostly everything you need from the RMV on line. If you need to go in personally to the RMV for some situations such as obtaining license plates, you have to schedule an appointment on line before they'll let you in.

I think you need to start the application online; the Mass rmv website. The best thing to do is to call Mass RMV to set up an appointment. It's a long wait usually 200-300 people on the call. I just placed the call on hold for like 2.5 h. They tell you the estimated wait time.

In massachusetts you cannot transfer a registration without an rmv1 form, you'll first have to switch your insurance to the car you bought and you will have to take the title and previous registration to the registry of motor vehicles, and they will do it for you. I believe you can do it now, there's a way to find out by going to ma.rmv.com or by looking up the 800 number to the mass registry of motor vehicles, as far as I knew they were doing permit tests by appointment, but I'd call to be sure.

For a new registration, you'll need to book a reservation online at the website of the registry of motor vehicles, or you can look up the phone number online and call for a reservation, the call center is taking a long time to speak to someone, so online is your best bet.

Maxx Hess, I suggest you to go in person. Because they will need from you birth certificate, Social Security, prove of address ect I did my ID and pay for my ID online and they send me a regular ID without a start, now I have to do everything all over again in person.
