I have had an electrical problem with my Honda HR-V for more than a year and a half. It kept blowing a fuse, for some unknown reason, which disabled our power steering among other things. Nearly all the dashboard lights would illuminate when the fuse would blow. My independent auto mechanic could not detect the problem without a doing a great deal of research at a considerable cost. So he showed us which fuse was blowing and how to replace it when our power steering went out. We followed his instructions for over a 15 months, and replaced the fuse about every 6 weeks, on average. Finally, we discovered that simply replacing the fuse no longer solved the problem and we needed further assistance to restore the steering. We took our car to AutoNation Honda Clearwater to see if they could identify the problem. Within a couple hours, they called and told us they had found the problem and gave us a reasonable quote to remedy the problem. They would, however, have to order a part and it could take a couple days to have it available. They put a temporary fix on our car so we could drive it for the next few days until the part was delivered. To make a long story shorter, they ordered the part, it came in when expected and they installed it quickly and "under" the quoted estimate for the work. Kenneth, the Service Manager, was very responsive and communicated with me via text message regularly during the process. And, the mechanic, explained to us what kind of temporary fix he provided and what to do if we had any additional problem until they could fix our electric problem permanently. Overall, we were very pleased with the service we received at AutoNation Honda Clearwater.

One would think you could. They call themselves a "Honda dealer" but when they sell the public replacement parts that ARE NOT AUTHORIZED HONDA parts, I don't know. Wouldn't take the chance myself.
