I was a resident in Park View Apartment around 2022 Jan. I like that place 1. good price, in my case, ~1,100 USD for a studio. 2. nice management team. It is good experience to pick up package/move-in-out. 3. the building is a very solid concrete building, feel much better (warm) than wood buildings, particularly during Winter. One thing I do not like but not so relevant to the apartment itself. The neighbor-hood is not very comfortable/safe. You need a car to move around.

My partner and I lived in many places throughout our time in Pittsburgh, all of which were one-year leases. Park View Apartments were by far the best and in a league of their own. All of the staff were nice, accommodating, and very welcoming; Shawn, the Assistant Property Manager, is incredible and very helpful with whatever we needed. Whenever there was an issue in one of the buildings (which was rare), such as a power outage, Park View kept the residents notified and the situation was always taken care of quickly and efficiently. If my partner and I didn't have to leave Pittsburgh, we would've continued to stay at Park View Apartments.

I previously had a five star review because I love the people. However, I have to move this to a 1 for safety concerns. The building lists heat AND air conditioning as an amenity. However, they only provide heat OR [very insufficient] AC due to an old 'two pipe' system. - Yesterday was 85 degrees and today will be 83 degrees outside. However, they have not cut over to AC yet. My apartment was in the high 90s. There is no word for when they will turn the system over from heat to AC. No communication from the staff to the residents, despite numerous complaints - I am concerned for the welfare of my dog. It is illegal to leave your dog in a car at 70 or above because your car can get to the temperatures currently experienced in my apartment. I have to douse him and myself in cold water every hour when I am in the apartment to avoid heat stroke. - - The management company has not invested adequately in the building, leaving it behind what would be permitted, even in subsidized housing. It is inhumane - There are small vertical windows that swing out on either side of my picture window. I am sure when the building was created they realized the necessity to allow air flow when you have a picture window letting heat in and a need to let air flow out. However, to save on insurance, the building restricts the range of motion, significantly limiting the effect of these windows.

I have been a resident of Park View for 8 years, and I cannot speak highly enough of these apartments. The staff is kind and helpful, the buildings are kept extremely clean and safe, and the location is the best in the city. These …Justin, thank you for sharing your experience with Park View! We are delighted to hear of the ongoing positive occurrences with staff and within your living area. Park View is happy to remain the place you call home.
