Been a tenant at BRV for over five years, and when Normandy owned the property, they just collected rent and did little to no renovations. After Berger assumed the property, initially they made a large amount of improvements and renovations. That was year one, and, now in year two, it appears as if everything has stopped. and, like Normandy, they are just collecting rent and providing little to no maintenance. However, they raised all rents dramatically, and they eliminated key people throughout the local offices, promoting inconsistency and separation. Also, Bergers late rent fee is unconstitutional, totally unfair, should be illegal, and needs to be changed. The rent they charge is already astronomical and to base late fees as 10% of rent is just criminal.
