Upon arriving we learn the parking is valet only and costs $25/day. The site says valet parking is available for $25/day, but did not indicate it was required. The lot is right there and due to the layout I'm guessing is why it's valet only, but still, very annoying to find out our trip just became $50 more expensive. That said the valets were very friendly and had our car to the main entrance very quickly. The rooms are fairly modern, but now I know what's meant by micro room. Overall it wasn't that bad but was definitely a bit cramped. The bed sleeps two but only has a nightstand on one side. You can put your phone or other items on the windowsill, but there's not outlet nearby to plug things in. The WiFi is free, and this is the first place I've stayed that you could use the Chromecast features of the TV in your room. It was very easy to set up and enabled my wife and I to watch some favorite shows with no issues. Definitely hope more hotels add this feature. The bathroom is nice, but my wife and I both agreed the "rain" shower head was not our favorite. It hangs from the ceiling and makes it difficult to impossible to keep your body in the water without getting your head or face wet at the same time. I believe the bar on the ground floor was open in the evening but may have only been open for an event that happened on our first night there. The site indicates it's temporarily closed but lists drink options, so we believe food was simply not being offered. The coffee shop is next to it and doesn't open until 7AM and closes at 2. The complimentary coffee on offer was...well, it was there. Not sure how old it was when I tried it but I didn't finish my cup. Looks like lots of drink options when it's open, but also appears to just have the usual pastry options for food. The rooftop bar has food but it's a very limited menu, even for drinks. Fantastic view, though. Overall not bad, but not somewhere I feel we'd absolutely have to book at again. The extra cost for the required valet was a bit much, and some of the amenities could be better. The location is very nice, tough, with plenty of options outside the hotel and very walkable, and a short drive to The Strip District, just one exit up the freeway across the bridge.

Had my daughter's wedding shower in the restaurant on the top floor. Absolutely beautiful view. We couldn't open the windows or really utilize the outside space because of the weather but was still great. We had buffet lunch - 6 different small bites items and each was tasty. Loved the cream cheese cucumber sandwich especially. Lots of staff dedicated to us and everyone was very friendly and helpful

Excellent hotel! Very nicely decorated and stocked. Live music everyday. Cafe and restaurant inside. There are private events going on constantly and it brings an atmosphere of vibrance and community. The automatic doors make it uncomfortable to sit in the lobby, as the cold air is constantly streaming in. Parking is a hassle if you don't want to pay valets.

Not sure about the one star reviews, but we had a great stay at this hotel. It’s in a well-connected area. The whole place is very clean and modern. There is a trendy bar off the lobby. Staff are all friendly. Our room was large and well-heated. If I could offer any criticism, it would be this. The shower head is kind of weird (as others have mentioned). It’s a waterfall shower, and it’s positioned in the front entrance of the shower which makes it hard to enter. If you enter the back of the shower you have to navigate past the toilet. Also, the pressure isn’t strong enough to make you feel clean after. On a different note, don’t go to the cafe if you’re just looking for drip coffee. Ask at the front desk for coffee pack refills for your room. The cafe’s drip coffee is never hot enough. Oh, and at the bar there is a mezcal drink that calls for a chili salt rim. The bartender salts the rim and scoops a teaspoon of chili flakes (like you put on pizza) INTO the cocktail. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the recipe writer’s intent. It ruined the otherwise delicious drink. Many thanks to everyone who made our stay at the hotel great. We’ll definitely stay with you again the next time we’re in Pittsburgh.
