Dr. Fife truly seems to know what he is doing. He has helped our husky in his battle with an auto-immune disease that attacks eyesight. We are very happy with the Veterinary Ophthalmology Center!

Dr. Fife and the entire office at Veterinary Ophthalmology are phenomenal. My dog had a corneal ulcer and after seeing our local vet, the office was able to get him in the next morning. Unfortunately he had to get surgery, which was performed that morning as well after our appointment. The surgery went well and my pup's eye was saved. :) On my dog's re-check, Dr. Fife even took extra care to make sure my dog's good eye was healthy as well. The office always lets me call if I have any concern. The staff and Dr. Fife are nothing but helpful. Thank you everyone, for saving my buddy's eye!

Dr. Fife and his staff are the best. My daughter’s dog had surgery on Monday, and the care that he received was wonderful. The surgery turned out to be more complicated than expected, and it was handled with skill and compassion. The staff checked on him the next day, and they encouraged us to ask questions and share concerns. The entire staff is top notch. And that, Dr. Fife, is a reflection of your good leadership. Our Bentley is doing well. Thank you.

I’m mixed with this place. The service is pleasant and friendly. Everyone was nice and they took care of my pup, HOWEVER, they get a little shady when it comes to prices and availability. It cost $195 for a scheduled appointment that includes initial testing. It took 1 month to get in. They also have several emergency slots available for $250 everyday. I’m positive they bank on making you wait a month because a pets eye is generally an emergency. Over the month wait, I almost took these slots twice, which they had available each time I called…but otherwise just wait. I also called about any cancellations and each time there was none available but calling an hour later, they had emergency slots. So I’m gonna say they bet on you taking the expensive appointment. Dr. Fife was a doctor with a general doctor attitude towards humans but was gentle with my dog. He did several tests and explained what was going on. Once diagnosed, which was quick. Immediately, A procedure was recommended or his eye would never heal. The procedure took 6 minutes and cost $275 dollars. Wow. But he HAD to have it done or basically impending blindness. I was explained nothing about how much anything else cost until checkout. Which came to $505. After I paid and scheduled his procedure reevaluation, the office said it would cost another $95 for them to recheck it. OMG. So in 35 minutes, it cost $500 and in theory this practice charged almost $1,000 an hour. That is some pricey medicine. And I wasn’t even explained some of the additional costs like prescriptions and follow-ups. I honestly think any recheck for a procedure done should be included however its their policy to only included if the pet needs anesthesia. What is this bs? I understand that veterinary medicine is a money playground and you can be charged whatever expensive they want, but the cost of a short procedure and the reevaluation NOT included just shows that this practice cares more about money than actual medicine otherwise they wouldn’t gouge so much. Cost and transparency are a huge factor to us consumers and many of us live day to day, so $500 in 30 minutes is insane but will pay it to keep our pet safe and healthy. Which I did.

Hello! Please give us a call and we can schedule an exam. We try not to give quotes on surgical procedures because we don't know what procedure may need to be done. LASIK is a surgery done to correct visual acuity and is not performed in animals. If your dog is having vision issues we need to do an exam to figure out what the problem is. Many people will assume it is due to cataracts, but that may not be the case.
This vet gave my dog a high pressure test. Which came back high. She is also a maltese mix her whole eye was and still is blood red. She might have cushions. He said only option is to remove the eye. She is 100% blind in that eye but she is also 14 so surgery would be too risky. She is on blood pressure medication now and eye pressure drops for the rest of her life I guess.
Get him to the vet ASAP
