Great selection of new and used books. Art supplies & other fun things to purchase. Great bookstore.

What an incredible little shop to stumble into! I visited this bookstore on a rainy day without any goal for finding a particular book. This bookstore is a perfect mix of new titles, vintage books, and INCREDIBLE rare out of print books. I love that all of these are mixed together so you really just need to explore and take joy in the hunt. The owner was so kind, knowledgable and helpful. Its very clear that she truly cares and loves books. Her joy was infectious! I ended up walking out of the store with 5 books and a new favorite place to visit!

Book stores worth their salt are so seemingly rare to find these days. Remember the days every town and city had a Borders or Barnes and Nobles at every turn? As a society, we sort of took the convenience of having them at every turn and never really thought twice about it. Losing those two giants of corporate literary sales may have been more of a blessing than it seems however. With the passing of the "Big 2," independently owned book shops have had this wonderful renaissance of sorts. Little stores that sit inconspicuosly in towns across America with undeniable charm and a marvelous selection of literary gems that warm the souls of book lovers of all kind. Having these little sanctuaries of stories and knowledge allow us to lose ourselves in them and forget about the stressful world we live in and give our minds a much needed break from the sometimes overwhelming world we live in. In Northern Vermont, we have "The Eloquent Page." This little slice of heaven for book lovers like myself holds a very special place In the heart of Saint Albans VT and the people who live here. The selection of literary works are incredible and plentiful. From out of print books to brand new works from our favorite authors and everything else in between, "The Eloquent Page" is a true blessing for any who seek out the thrills of being surrounded by books that hold the worlds history, works of fiction/non fiction, children's stories and so much, much more. If you are in Saint Albans VT or are perhaps driving through, do yourselves a favor and stop by one of our towns. The books are MORE than reasonable in their pricing and the selection is that so even the most particular of readers will find a multitude of options to select from and take home. It's always important to support your local businesses. But, its especially important to support your local book stores. Book stores and libraries are without a doubt any town in Americas most prized possession. For Saint Albans VT, it's the "Eloquent Page."

While my grandsons were delighted to get some wonderful books, I was concerned for our health while in the shop. The man sitting near the check out area never put on a mask. He remained maskless during our entire shopping visit. I won't be back again until the pandemic is over - or everyone in the shop is masked.
