Awesome place for railfanning!
Island Line Rail Productions
Great railfanning location for day and night.....There are only six trains that will pass by here. At around 3-4 AM, NECR 323 will arrive from the South. A little while later, NECR 502 (Burlington Turn) will return around 5-6 AM. the next train will be Amtrak Vermonter southbound at 9 am in the station.....the train overnights at the top of the WYE next to the roundhouse. Amtrak leaves at 9:15 am southbound...the next train will be NECR 500 aka Burlington Electric woodchip "Chip" train southbound to the McNiel power plant in Burlington. it should pass about a half hour after Amtrak departs. there will not be a lot of activity until 500 returns. (unless there is a rare daytime run of NECR 323 or 324) when CN M324 from Montreal is done dropping off their cars, they will sometimes wye their train (if one unit) or pull up to the station platform to go to the NECR Headquarters. before heading North as CN M323.....Amtrak (if ontime ) will arrive at 8:40 pm.... once Amtrak has cleared the station, NECR 502 or 324 will depart southbound. (whichever is ready first as the way I have seen it work) usually around 9--9:30 pm...with the other departing 30 minutes to a hour later if one train needs to drop cars at a customer. ..that is pretty much it for trains except extras like plow trains

Yes. If you mean commuting by public transit, the Amtrak Vermonter goes directly from Penn Station in Manhattan to the Downtown district of the town.
We used a taxi. I think only one company is available. Called them about twenty minutes before arriving and he was waiting for us when e arrived. His name was John. Very courteous and helpful.
It's a 3 min ride or a 14 min walk. Not very far.
Good question I don't see a answer
