We used a taxi. I think only one company is available. Called them about twenty minutes before arriving and he was waiting for us when e arrived. His name was John. Very courteous and helpful.
Uber and Lyft can't be relied upon in St. Albans as there are not always drivers in the area, you can sometimes get one but it is not guaranteed. Maybe booking one in advance would help but I'm not sure. A taxi would be an option but you would need to call one directly, there are none waiting at the station at night. The Hampton Inn is walking distance to from the station, there are some Airbnbs in the area as well.
