Drove 2 hours to pick up a jacket they had in stock. When I got around the corner to my friend's house, gave it to him for his birthday and it was a little tight. They said I could return it and when I pulled up literally at 6 o'clock they were locking the door and wouldn't let me in to return it even though there was several other people customers still walking in the store. I'm pulling my account from all West marine stores and I will never shop here again even or again even the kids work in there seem like they didn't really care to want to help me. They almost looked at me smirking.

great products and service! They have a very good selection of sailboat parts and accessories. Shackles, couplers, blocks, line, a very thorough assortment. Service is generally very good and fairly knowledgeable. Prices have come down somewhat since the internet age. They needed to come down since West Marine tends to be higher price than most other outlets due to their rich assortment. They've also improved their internet presence and delivery in the past few months.

A nice store full of relevant products. However I called about a caulk product I had paid $20 for elsewhere a couple weeks ago. The guy on the phone was super nice and said they price match so I took off and drove a good distance to the store. He was gone for the day so the manager said he told him I was gonna stop by. I showed him what I paid and he said “oh” I don’t have to price match from that store. I thought it was foolish for $15 extra a product not to but bought the tubes anyway. As I left I told the manager to lose a customer over $45-$50 was probably not a good decision but his attitude much less the fact that they only price match when they decide to is enough for me to buy elsewhere. And I have bought stereo systems, GPS systems, coolers and many other products there in the past. He was right, he didn’t have to price match after it had been explained they would. And he didn’t have to be rude. But I don’t have to spend my dollars there either. DJ
