I’ve had Cody aerate my lawn two years in row now. He’s done an excellent job each time and for a great price! He is always quick to get ahold of and was actually even able to fit me in the very day after I reached out to him. I ran into an issue with being unable to get him access to my backyard and he offered and was completely willing to come back out the very next day to finish the job. He didn’t miss a spot, will definitely continue using Premium Landscape Solutions in the future!

Did a great job aerating my yard even with my 45 degree hill. Responded to my initial inquiry within a few hours and had Cody out a few days later.

Questions & Answers

What is a general rate for leaf removal, with and without haul away?

Rich Wayne | Sep 10, 2020
Premium Landscape Solutions | Sep 10, 2020

If we are mulching and bagging up the leaves with a Cyclone Rake Leaf Vacuum, and letting the city get it, it typically starts at $60 and goes to about $225. Usually the higher end jobs are for lawns where the Cyclone Rake can't fit in the back yard. For haul aways, it is usually between $125 to $350 total. Some lawns in Overland Park literally are in excess of over 2000 gallons of leaves, with lawns like this they can fill an entire 20 foot trailer up. This takes substantial time to haul away.

What time of year is best for aeration and overseeding?

Rich Wayne | Sep 10, 2020
Premium Landscape Solutions | Sep 10, 2020

If a lawn has less than 50% grass or has large dead spots, there is about a six week time period we do aeration and overseeding in spring. Generally from the last week of march to midway through may. We recommend that almost all lawns get aeration and overseeding in the Fall. This occurs from Mid October to late November.

How long do your retaining walls and French drains typically last?

Rich Wayne | Sep 10, 2020
Premium Landscape Solutions | Sep 10, 2020

We have installed the walls for over 3 years now, have installed close to 50, and have never had a failure. Since our walls all have a properly compacted AB3 or concrete base, and have a minimum of a 12 inch drain system behind them, they are rated to last 20 years or longer! We also are one of the only companies which installs geogrid behind our walls if it is within budget.

What is your general pricing on French drains and retaining walls?

Rich Wayne | Sep 10, 2020
Premium Landscape Solutions | Sep 10, 2020

French drains generally cost about $26 per linear foot. This differs dramatically based off the length of the drain, number of gutter downspouts, and complexity of root systems or trees. Our retaining walls are a case by case basis. We have general estimates based off of the square footage, but it differs dramatically by height, needs of the walls, equipment availability, etc. Our minimum on any retaining wall is $3000.

Where do you mainly work? Do you install retaining walls and French drains outside of Johnson County?

Rich Wayne | Sep 10, 2020
