In my personal experience living here for the past year I’ve ran into a few problems. Apartment 1906 gets hot up to 80° by afternoon. Every time I call In for a maintenance request the maintenance people say they don’t have time. So I do not refer this place to anybody. The entire summer the pool has been closed for construction which is dumb save it for winter time. People are constantly parking in my reserved spot that I pay 30$ a month for. The entire community needs a revamp with new ac units. The main problem for me is my apartment for which I stated earlier that it gets up to 80 degrees even though the blower was replaced. And the office acts like they don’t care.

Overall the one year i lived at avion at carrollwood wasnt all that bad. There are pros and cons.... Pros being location is outstanding, maintenance is great, no bugs in my unit (but lots of wasps nests outside my screened in porch), safe neighborhood, and somewhat updated modern look in the kitchen. For cons the washer/dryer hybrid machine sucks. For one cycle it takes 3-4 hours to wash and dry and then your clothes still come out as wet even after that. Next, like many other apartment complexes there is car theft and we saw two men try to saw a car part off a Prius in the lot and 3am so beware. Lastly, not a huge problem but not much natural light in the apartment. Each bedroom has a small window and I found that working from home with that amount of light was not ideal. If you're looking for a place close to downtown I wouldnt stray away from avion and I recommend considering it as one of your options while apartment hunting!

I have lived in this community for almost 5 years now. The management team that is in charge now, is by far the best they have had so far! They are extremely helpful, and responsive! Angela and Christina definitely go above and beyond to meet your needs! The landscaping is very nice and tidy, and management is always looking for new ways to improve the property. It is a quiet safe community, close to shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this community!

So I'll give an honest review. I am not particularly angry with the quality, just want to give a heads up to people who think about moving here. Overall, a decent community, not too many disturbances aside from the fact that you live right off of Dale Mabry Hwy. Landscaping is nice and stays pretty clean as well. But there are a lot of place they need to improve, especially with such a huge price jump. They only have 4 washers and 4 dryers for the ENTIRE complex, so you may need to wake up at 6am just to get a load finished. Also, if you're thinking about the in unit washer SAVE YOUR MONEY. It barely works and please beware if you stay on the first floor; because when your neighbors use their unit it will shake your ENTIRE apartment. No matter how many work orders placed it can never be fixed. (They said it was a contractor issue) Maintenance (of the previous management) told me that the washers were more of a problem than an upgrade. I really don't think it's a bad community overall just severely overpriced is all. Location is ideal for getting downtown and even close enough to USF to commute.
