Can't believe how helpful And courteous Eric was. I had a complex question and he found a manager Jessica to assist and she was equally amazing. Made my day, went the extra mile and I'm thankful I came to this office today. They even helped me save expenses.

Don’t bother making an appointment. You are taken in order of arrival. Seriously? So stupid! Also, how about accommodations for the elderly? I sat for over an hour (had a 4:00 appointment) with my 88 year old mother who was there for a simple (or so I thought) address change on her state ID.

I was recently granted with the honor of being helped by Vicky at the Pine Ridge office of the Lee County Tax Collector. Let me explain. THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY. Nothing makes sense anymore. People should be friendly. They’re not. They’re rude. Government agencies are supposed to be frustrating. This one’s not. It’s wonderful. I just had a delightfully refreshing experience at the south Ft. Myers Tag Agency and a young lady named Vicky was as efficient, helpful and pleasant as anyone with whom I have had the pleasure of dealing. That’s not supposed to happen. This is a story that must be told. My mother recently passed after 82 years and a blessedly short bout of lung cancer. She was one of the great mothers. And I will tell her story elsewhere. But, this is a story of our confused tag agency/office whose crazy goal seems intent on delivering a pleasant experience and the insanely efficient Vicky. Briefly, my mother left a car with a loan and the bank had never claimed a title. I am not fluent with all of the lingo and intricacies, but basically this meant the car did not exist in any database, the bank did not have a title and, even though I paid them for the loan, they would not issue a title for a car they claimed did not exist. This is how they explained it to me, anyway, and I was downright fearful of having to convey this confusion to the tag agency. I mean, I had paid for the car, I should be able to sell it, right? And, for that I needed a title. So, after putting it off as long as I could, I made my appointment. I made two appointments, knowing that it would be so screwed up that I would surely have to return, and their calendar was pretty full. I don’t want to waste time with extra details, I want this to be about how ridiculously efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant my encounter with Vicky was. I am cautious with my words and I meant “ridiculous”. I caught myself laughing at how easily she understood the situation. How relaxed she made me feel. She calmed my fears with her instant grasp of the situation. I could just get out my thesaurus and string together synonyms for great, intelligent, effective and efficient. But, my point is that anyone who gets called to Vicky’s window at the Lee County Tag Agency on Pine Ridge should count themselves among the winners of life’s lottery. It was that good. With best regards and gratitude, Thank you, Harry B.

Good morning! This link, which you may have to cut and paste into a browser, has the fee schedule: https://www.leetc.com/driver-licenses/fees You may need to take the written test and/or road test depending on the circumstances.

Bring in the Bill of Sale and the car's Title to DMV in Florida...
The road test is performed On Pine Ridge and Kelly Road and it takes about 15 minutes
You will have the choice of receiving an electronic title or a paper title. First, call the tax collector with your vehicle info in hand. They will tell you if the pay off info has been processed & if there is any charge for your title request.
Florida address, take title, identification , and copy of florida insurance to DMV, and it is appointent only right now.
Visit myflorida.com go to dmv, and you can chat
Google Florida vehicle registration. The website has a link to all locations for appointments.
You can walk in.
Yes....or you can do it online
Good afternoon. The best advice is to make an appointment. Click "Titles and Registration" as the appointment type when you are booking. You will need to bring valid ID and proof of Florida insurance. If you are looking to purchase a military service related plate or fraternal order of police, documentation will be required to prove eligibility. Thank you!
Hi Jeffrey! We are recommending appointments. We do have limited same day availability but please know that if you do want to walk in, your wait will be long as we prioritize those who have appointments. Thank you!
Good morning. Here is the link to make an appointment: https://www.leetc.com/ncp/show_page.asp?Proc=Appointments(2) Once you get to the screen you will click on the "Both Driver License and Titles" button. Don't forget to bring your glasses or contact with you to the appointment. Thank you!
Hi Steve. You will need your original title and all owners must be present at the appointment with proof of identification. You will need proof of insurance from a licensed Florida insurance agent/company. A physical VIN inspection is also required. This may be completed by driving the vehicle to the office at the time of titling, or in advance using HSMV 82042 completed by a Florida Notary or law enforcement officer from any state. (Here is a link you can copy and paste for the document: https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/forms/82042.pdf) If the vehicle was purchased/titled within the past six (6) months, proof of any sales tax paid must be provided as well.
Hi Marta! The appointment type you are looking for is the Surrender Plate/Placard/Taxes button. I've included the link here to appointments so you don't have to search for it: https://www.leetc.com/contact-us/appointment Thank you!
Hi Bob! The Federal Real ID Act permits customers to hold only one valid driver license or ID card in one state. We do retain the previous license or ID anytime a new one is being issued. If you want to keep the photo on your current license, we can return just that part to you. Hope this helps!
Hello LeAnn! We highly recommend making appointments. Walk ins may be accepted dependent upon lobby capacity and wait time. You may also experience a longer than expected wait time as a walk in customer. We're also partnered with First Lee Tag Agency, located in San Carlos Park, who also accepts appointments as well as walk ins. Should have any additional questions, feel free to call our Contact Center at 239-533-6000 or you can reach us via Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct Message.
We recommend making an appointment, but we are assisting same day customers based on staffing levels and the number of appointments. If you do walk-in, there will be a wait as we prioritize appointments first. Thank you!
Mr. Uhl, you can go into any of our service centers and obtain a paper title. Fee depends if it's a same day paper title, which means title was kept electronically or it's a duplicate title. https://www.leetc.com/vehicles-vessels/title-and-registration-fees If you have additional questions, please call 239-533-6000 or you can message us via Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct Message.
A car is provided for all road tests.
Hello! Ms. Grinter, it does not make a difference. As long as personal information remains the same, you should be able to renew without needing any additional REAL ID information.
Buyer pays the sales tax. Sign title front page lower front page. Do a Bill of Sale. Go to Leetc. com
Good morning Ms. Ratti. All services are by appointment only, which can be made at www.leetc.com. Fees are dependent upon whether an initial registration fee is applied, in addition to title and registration, which is based upon weight of vehicle. You can also visit our fee page: at www.https://www.leetc.com/vehicles-vessels/title-and-registration-fees. Should you have any additional questions, you may contact us at 239-533-6000 or you may direct message us via Facebook or Instagram.

You will need to make an appointment (www.leetc.com) and present the following: 1) Valid Florida driver license or identification card 2) Completed Application for Disabled Person Parking Permit signed and dated by the certifying authority if the original was issued more than 12 months ago. Should you still need assistance, please contact us via Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct Message.

You can pay online.
Go online to LEEPA.ORG which is Lee County Property Appraiser and they have their requirements and vital information for filing for Homestead Exemption and other possible discounts. If you are speaking of sales taxes that's different.

Go to a tax collecters office and report it missing then get new one it will be 30 for id and 60 for license
This depends on how many people are ahead of you. There is no set time. Getting there when the doors open in the AM is sometimes a big plus.
