I used to see Dr. Schwartz in Largo who was awesome. Sadly he passed recently and I was referred to Dr. Davis in Clearwater. First time seeing him, and all he did was seem frustrated that my dilated eye kept tearing and smudging his equipment. Then he tried to perform a procedure with a handheld lens and got frustrated again saying I was dilated and he couldn't perform it. Uhmm, excuse me, but you ordered my dilation not 15 min earlier. Finally, when I asked what a certain procedure was, he held up the lens and said, "that's what I am trying to do." I had no clue the procedure name he was referencing was what he was trying to do. I am not an eye specialist. Bedside manner has a lot to be appreciated. He is rude and arrogant. Time to find another doc who knows how to interact with patients. Would never see this man again.

I called this morning to make an appointment for a complete eye exam. I saw their new office this weekend on McMullen Booth only 5 miles from my home. I told her I would like to make an appointment for exam told her what my insurance was and more than once she asked to you have vision insurance I told her I get one free eye exam yearly and it’s a 35 co pay after for visits. Then she said something about 200.00 dollars again I explained my insurance and suggested she checked if they excepted my plan. No response. She then asked me if I wear contacts I said yes. Well if you want eye measurement for contact prescription you have to go to Largo we do not have equipment here at this location. I was so stunned by this. Build a huge new office and they do not have equipment to handle a simple contact lens prescription. Totally ridiculous. I said I will continue to look for someone who can accommodate my needs she said that’s fine.

My procedure was performed not too long after I arrived which was great. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with the utmost courtesy and compassion. My nurses were phenomenal. I had many, many surgeries and numerous IV’s. Some have been brutal. My nurse today had my IV in with 2 seconds and I never felt a thing. What a professional. My anesthesiologists were so helpful in explaining everything that would occur. Of course Dr. Mohadjer was wonderful. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Eye Institute of West Florida to anyone needing or wanting surgery. Thank you all so much.

The entire staff in both offices (Largo & St. Pete) I visit are great but, Dr. Dasi is the most amazing doctor I have ever had. He has the ability to explain every detail that always put me at ease. He ALWAYS takes the time to be sure I have no questions when I leave my appointment. My corneal transplant surgery was as calm and omfortable as it possibly could have been. I can not say enough good things about The Eye Institute of West Florida and Dr. Dasi. I will be forever grateful my new sight.
