Carlouel Yacht Club

I pick up working shifts when Carlouel Yacht Club is in need of a prep cook, banquet server, or an extra body. I enjoy the 10-12 mile bike ride it takes for me to get there. I actually look forward to working here, when I can! When my shift is complete, I feel great, leaving with no stress, no drama, and ready for my hour ride home. The yacht club is so beautifully painted white with green, maintained grasses, a well-kept pool area, a small, outside bar, tennis courts by the intercoastal waters, and not to mention, wonderful plates of fresh, mouth-salivating entrees of your choosing that are prepared daily by great chefs and a superb kitchen staff. All of the staff members and management personnel, that I've seen and met, are very welcoming, highly pleasant, super friendly, and always seem to be smiling. That, there alone, tells you a lot about how well and organized this business is. Most of the time when you're the "new guy" and start working in an unfamiliar, already established business, you walk in, receive strange, prejudged looks and can feel tension in the air, cutting right through you. You most definitely do not feel that at all at Carlouel. A great venue for a beach wedding, a themed event, or whatever it takes to gather some friends, to enjoy and share, together, a wonderful, unforgettable experience. Most of all, the meaning of the Carlouel name, to me, pulls it all together and is quite the story! That, you will have to discover on your own. (Hint: there's a beautiful portrait of three charming ladies hanging near the winding stairs.)
