Great location, nice office, and really sweet staff. The person who helped me was Monserrat she is very kind and attentive. The office itself was very bright, clean.

My son have been a patient at Optical Outlet for over 5 Years. Dr. Denyse Ramesar ,O.D. does an awesome job with eye exams. Since the Pandemic there's been a change in Staff. I recommend this location for eye care service. Just recently a new employee Monserrat gave us such outstanding service. I nominate her to be the employee of the month. She appears to be very knowledgeable about her job. Thanks for giving my son outstanding service.

I do not care to write reviews but my experience has been so negative that I decided this review needs to be written. The Doctor that attended me was very kind and helpful but the rest of the experience was terrible. The staff have extremely bad attitudes, only the doctor was kind. I work in healthcare. I understand that things can get frustrating but you shouldn't work in customer service if you have bad attitude. I ordered contacts in April an now it is June 16th and my contacts have not arrived. I was contacted one time to go pick up my contacts so I went to the store, proceeded to wait 30 minutes just to be told the call was incorrect. My time has been wasted, my money has been spent yet I have no contacts, and I have had to deal with these rude employees. Overall this is the worst customer experience I have had and I would advise people to go anywhere else.

Very good quality glasses. My insurance pays for a pair a year, and they have excellent sales, so I have stocked up on sunglasses and reading glasses. Polite, cheerful bilingual staff, and easy access off Henderson onto Bradford, or off Kennedy if you're headed east.

Questions & Answers

How is an exam for contact lenses different from a regular eye exam?

Optical Outlets | Oct 10, 2021

If you are interested in wearing contact lenses or you are due to have your current pair of contacts checked, a specialized evaluation to measure and assess your eyes is required. Different measurements are needed for contact lenses because, unlike an eyeglass lens, which gets positioned approximately 12mm away from your eye, a contact lens sits directly on the surface of your eye. Depending upon your vision requirements and lifestyle, we’ll guide you in choosing the most suitable and effective contact lenses to address all your needs.

What do I need to bring to an eye exam?

It’s essential to remember to bring your current eyeglasses or contact lenses prescription to your visit. If you also wear reading glasses, computer glasses, protective eyewear, or other visual aids, you may want to bring these as well. Because getting your pupils dilated can leave you sensitive to light for several hours following your appointment, it’s wise to bring sunglasses to the appointment.

How often are eye exams needed?

Optical Outlets | Oct 10, 2021
Optical Outlets | Oct 10, 2021

While it’s always a good idea to have an annual eye exam, how often an eye exam is needed depends on several factors. A patient’s age, family and personal medical histories, a previous eye injury, existing eye conditions, and environmental or occupational factors determine the recommended frequency. The American Optometric Association offers specific guidelines for both children and adults. As your trusted partner in care, our office will discuss the most appropriate schedule to protect the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.
