Candlewood Suites Hazleton, an IHG Hotel

This is a no-frills hotel and the price reflects it. Just what I needed when traveling through the area, but it would be great for multiple nights. The kitchen was well stocked and the room was very clean. One minor ding as I reserved a room with two beds and got a single. Not a big deal for my family but could have been inconvenient for someone with older kids.

Do not stay here. We both slipped in the shower. No-slip strips need replacing. Two young girls who checked us in were great but the blonde one in charge, I think Brittnye, never smiled and seemed everything we asked about was a chore for her. She was very unfriendly.

Reasonably priced but, very sub par. Reason for even one star is because is a quiet stay. The bed was way to soft and unsupportive in our King room. Desk staff said bed mattresses were brand new and all rooms had the same mattress. Was clean but bath towels had holes in it and coffee maker carafe did not fit. Front desk staff not terribly friendly, reluctant to replace towels and could not locate correct carafe. Worst Candlewood I’ve ever stayed in!

First of all the comforter on the bed had stains that I really don’t want to know what they are (see picture). The dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes, room had a smoke smell. And like others - only one towel for 2 guests.
