Up until recently I would have given Optimum Healthcare a 5++ review. I recently had to use their partner company Argus for cataract surgery. They have only one location provider in Pinellas County that will accept their payments. There are over six other credible surgery centers and none would accept Argus payments. We started the procedure in May of 2022 and will be waiting until November 2022 to have the procedure done. I feel as a company you are who you associate with and would advise Optimum to find a more credible partner for eye care.

I requested the use of a portable oxygen concentrator so I could visit different family members in PA that I haven't seen in three years..I was turned down because they only allow in home oxygen use..So I am allowed to survive but only on a leash...What happened to quality of life..

Optimum Health care has given me a tough time about a tooth extraction. Saying they will not cover oral surgeon tooth extraction or root canal that was also recommended by the dentist. The dental coverage is horrible and disgusting. -Harvey W

I personally know a sales rep and we have talked for several years about my changing from Medicare to Optimum's Medicare HMO. I have suffered through endless deceptive sales pitches only to find mostly lies. I sat down with Optimum, it took him about 5 minutes to convince me to switch. The benefits and extras are too good to pass up. No lies - no nonsense. Great support staff.

Optimum does not pay into social security, they deduct your health care premium cost from it. I could be wrong so your best bet will be contacting them directly.
WellMed is a Doctor group. Their clinics accept Optimum.
Unfortunately no. He does accept Humana which has much improved plans for 2019. I also represent Humana if you have questions. Please call anytime at 727-289-1117 He also accepts United healthcare which I can assist with.
