Delicious egg sandwich, and had a nice almond croissant that was just the right amount of sweetness. Their coffee is STRONG though, but that's fine with me. Judging by the crowds, I'm not the only one who likes Bread Alone.

The only place opened at 7am in town. Great coffees, amazing breads and one of the most delicious local experiences in terms of originality. I highly recommend!

Made a quick stop for a to-go snack while in Woodstock, and we weren’t disappointed. There’s much more to explore and try - and now we really want to come back for more sandwiches - but with a baked good and a club sandwich, we got a good insight into what makes Bread Alone so beloved. It isn’t the cheapest, and the menu is rather limited, but their bread (ciabatta in our case) is absolutely fantastic, and their blend of flavours in a basic item like a club sandwich comes together as a brilliant and delicious experience. Next time we’ll go for a full loaf. Even as a spoiled European, this is bread that makes me want more.

Coffee is soooo good! I had a hot caramel latte. The next day I went back and ordered it iced. Both times amazing. I also had the grilled cheese which was delicious. Crispy edges, my favorite! I had the egg & cheese the next day and I also enjoyed that very much. Cute little coffee shop! Definitely recommend!

Absolutely everything is excellent at Bread Alone!
Thanks, All! We have plenty of places to lock your bike up around and near the building. But, as avid cyclists ourselves, we will attend to finding a cool bike rack and will install it this summer! Happy Riding! Sharon

Thank you, Mary, for your inquiry! We bake with organic wheat and rye in our bakery and all of our breads contain organic wheat. We recognize that some of our customers are not able to tolerate wheat gluten in their diets and we appreciate the inconvenience and difficulty that restriction causes. We decided several years ago not to put our energies into mastering the art of baking with alternate ingredients to produce gluten-free breads - now we see that there are several other bakeries committed to baking with no gluten! At our cafes, we offer most sandwiches on a gluten-free wrap that we purchase from an outside vendor so that we can offer most of our guests an alternative. We do recognize that some guests (with celiacs) are not even able to enjoy those and for that we offer our sympathy!! thank you and have a lovely day!
Hey All, Family-owned since 1983! Most definitely not a franchise. Earliest inspirations came from wood-fired bakeries in Paris. Zero Au Bon Pain or franchise aspirations. Check out website to learn more about history, values, and sustainability work. https://www.breadalone.com/ Have a wonderful fall weekend here in the Hudson Valley! -Nels Leader
I would call them, any of the staff will be ready to answer that properly. Enjoy. Hope they still have sounds yummy.
