Great venue. Great staff. No AC so it can be a little warm in the summer. The sound is great but the sightlines upstairs are poor and are even limited in some seats downstairs. If you have good seats downstairs for a show, this place is like no other. BYOB!

What to know: > Most worthwhile if you have purchased an assigned seat. That being said, **make sure it’s a seat with a view that’s unobstructed by the support beams** > Seats are fold-up metal chairs > Studio is accessed via a paved road through residential area and then an unpaved road. No signage. Keep going. > Bring bug spray > BYOB and no cans or glass bottles inside the studio > Parking lot could be very muddy! > Excellent acoustics, intimate setting > Temp inside will be warmer than current temp outside Definitely plan to return.

Difficult to get a better or more authentic experience than to come hear music at Levon Helm Studios. No matter where you sit, you will be closer to the artist than at any other concert. From arrival to departure, you won't find a more fitting encapsulation of of the Woodstock ideal.

If you cannot get a seat ticket for your performance; do not go. Even if you get a seat ticket the view was often obstructed but you stand at least half a chance of seeing something. If you get a standing ticket you've entered a lottery to see who can get on one of the very limited railings to see the stage. If you lost that lottery and didn't claim a spot congratulations you cannot see anything at any point and you might as well have stayed at home because all you will see is people's backs hypnotically swaying back and forth and their arms flailing for hours. People claim spots and hang belongings on the railings so they can leave during intermissions and will literally push you back if you tried to get a peek at the stage. Hanging things on the railing is against the venue rules but I only saw that enforced once before the show started and never again. I was able to get a single picture/glimpse of the performance by kneeling and waiting for the dancing people to move their legs far enough to snap a single frame. That's all I got to see all night. If you give up on trying to see something and seek a seat on one of the conveniently placed benches along the walls you are also in a race against time because everyone will pile their jackets and belongings on them so maybe three or four people can sit on them at any given time. Venue is aesthetically pleasing but was clearly not designed for the amount of attendees they try to accommodate. Sound system was fine, the band was not at fault and parking was handled well. Everything else was a nightmare.
