This is a great place to bring the grandkids! Lots of history, the museum tells the story of this interesting park. Be sure to take some water home with you, it makes great coffee!

Nice historic park with the same hot springs and mineral springs that go all the way back to George Washington! There is a building with private hot springs that you can rent a tub room. Nice facility. If you like history, it was cool walking around right where Washington stood nd enjoyed the springs, along with other forefathers of our country. We stayed right next door at The Country Inn at Berkeley Springs. That was a very nice hotel and resturant and we stayed 3 nights and we enjoyed walking and driving around to the numerous shops, antique and thrift shops in the area. You can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel or there are numerous eateries in the general area and also just back into Maryland. This area is a nice several, or one day trip to make. Try visiting the park and area and enjoying the very friendly staff and people. I think you'll be glad you did.

Haven't been here in 20+ years but returned while staying nearby in Maryland. This Park is beautiful, quiet, shady on sunny days like today. Everyone seems to get along. Being a hot one today, we rested along the spring with our feet dipped in the 74.3 degree water and it really did the trick cooking us down. We watched a steady stream of folks filling all manner of vessels with water from the bathhouse area. We filled our little travel one on the way out. The water is good. If you visit the town, ya gotta stop by the park.

The Berkeley Springs State Park is a historical site. The quiet town is relaxing. The spring water should be good for health. I'm not too fond of its limited parking and over charged spring bath. Otherwise, the small town is worthwhile to stop by.

You can get a soak ina jet tub or Roman bath with a 30 minute massage for ~60$ at the state park. You can wade/ soak you feet for free in the mineral waters at the park, but it's not a hot spring
It was $27/30 minutes for one person in the Roman bath. For each additional person that shares the bath it's another $17. Children under 6 are $3, address 6-12 is $11. Seniors get a slight discount of $24/30 min and $15 for each additional. I added a picture of the rate card to the photos. These rates are from July 2017.
Yes. They are open
Not yet. We were just there this weekend and it was still under construction.
The natural spring is about 72 degrees year round, it is not a hot spring. The park is attached to a Roman bathhouse that offers hot baths using the spring water but it isn't naturally that hot and it isn't free.
Unless there is another place by the same name, I would have to say never. The park I saw had enough water for minnows and tadpoles and nothing more.
The park isn't large enough, or formed correctly for skiing, however, there are other attractions in the park; such as constantly 70°F mineral spring water, spa, roman bath house, and a local history museum. Did you know the crayon was invented right here in Berkeley Springs? Just as well, a short trip south of town will land you in Cacapon state park, with its acres and acres of woods and mountainous terrain that's great for hiking. You can enjoy its natural beauty, or use its other recreational facilities including numerous sports game ballcourts and its own little resort and arcade.
The springs stay at a constant temperature of 74 degrees year round
The springs and waterways are much too small for sizeable fish. However I saw a few spots that a minnow trap would work well in. Then take the bait fish to the nearby Cacapon SP or Potomac River. Cacapon is pronounced Cuh Cay Pun, CuhCayPun
