When I pulled up there was quite a line, but they got everyone in and out within just a few minutes! The lady that helped me was so friendly!!!! I wish I would have gotten her name but definitely will return to this facility because of how quick, friendly, and efficient they were.

One of those “must do” chores that I put off as long as I can every time. The lines weren’t too bad around 11:45AM but it was slow. Clipboard Man to the rescue! Cars were directed to different lines and both test units in each bay were put to use. I had the most delightful young woman (just using initials SJ) who made me smile the whole time. If everyone approached their job the way she did, we’d all be so much better off!
The letter should have said you registration will be suspended if you don't complete your test by "this date" I had recived one myself week after I had test done (now was late had pay late fee but was within grace period they give) I called first and they fixed it on the phone. ALSO IF YOUR PAST DATE AND REGISTRATION IS SUSPENDED (THOUGH I THOUGHT WAS YOU LICENSE NOT REGISTRATION) MAKE SURE YOU CALL YOU MAY NEED EITHER THEM TO GIVE YOU AN EXTENSION SO YOU CAN DRIVE IT IN OR MAY TELL YOU YOU NEED SOMEONE ELSE IF REGISTRATION IS MESSED UP IN ANYWAY THEY WONT DO INSPECTION I WAS BUYING A CAR FROM PRIVATE PERSON AND HADN'T GOTTEN NEW REGISTRATION HAD TO HAVE OLD OWER DO IT SO I COULD GET TITLE & REGISTRATION TRASFERED TO MY NAME. Best thing to do is call them first and ask them steps to rectify the situation so you don't waste your time. But if your still IN the grace period they give you go have it done go into office after done and they will make sure it removed.
All you have to do is call the number on your emission slip. If you dont have it, look up emissions online and find the number, give them a call. They will work with you. If you haven't been yet, you can always go, fail the test, and they will give you a few months to get yourself in order to be able to go back and retest. Hope this helps.
If this is clearly a business, why is the phone ALWAYS busy all day even at night? Do they take the phone off the hook to avoid paying customers?

This location is for drive through and additional time sought for repairs to be made and signed off when needed.
I would say that you would have to be in line before closing time if you pull up in line after closing time they probably won't see you but as long as you are in line before the closing time you should be good
Do I need an appointment? The question was asked before but but it's been quite a while.

If you are inquiring about the self-service VEIP kiosks those are open. An appointment is not needed, make sure you have your registration or the emissions letter when you go. For more information you can check online for a location close to you.

Did anyone recently have their emission test done
I was told that I wouldn't receive a letter to take just show up and show your registration card
Is this true
You should probably contact MD MVA with this question. They may be able to tell you what the next due date is for your vehicle's inspection. Or if you just want to be sure, you could go to a testing station right away to get the inspection and make sure you are covered. More info is available at www.mva.maryland.org/vehicles/veip/

I believe because he is in the marines and not in his state of record he can get a pass until he changes his state of record or leaves the military I could be wrong though. This is more a question to pose to the MTA's dmv
If the state you are in provides emissions testing, have the vehicle tested and submit the test results to the Motor Vehicle Administration, attention VEIP. If the statedoes not provide emissionstesting, you should contact the VEIP immediately for specific information.
It is $14 if you do your test before or on the due date. After, the due date, I believe they add $10. I may be wrong on the late charge. Hope that helps some.
That's a question to ask the VEIP station or the MVA. I think if you show due diligence to do the right thing, notify them, show them the receipt of repair, and pass inspection, you should be okay. Be sure to document whom you asked, time and date, what they said, and any other details. Most importantly, do ask. There may be a clause about an extra extension that nobody has control over.
I hope this helps. Drive safely!
I live in boston but my car has md plates. Is there somewhere closer i can go for the test?
Bridget Melanson | Nov 15, 2018
Tyler Durden | Nov 16, 2018
Yes. Go to your local vehicle administration, register your vehicle in your state of Massachusetts. Then go to your local emissions testing site...IN BOSTON! Should be fairly close, at least compared to Maryland.
You can not drive a vehicle that the registration has been suspended. Take care of the suspension then ask MVA to grant you amnesty should you be late for inspections. By the way, MVA gives you a minimum of two months to get the inspection done.
Yes. They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, traveller's checks, money orders, or personal checks as long as you can present two current IDs.
