Full disclosure, I worked here previously about 6 years ago, and although I was not employed directly by Delmar Gardens, my company was contracted to provide rehab services. That being said, I have worked in many settings including home health, nursing homes, hospitals and rehab facilities. Overall, Delmar Gardens is one of the best facilities that I have had the pleasure of working in. In general, the staff is compassionate, caring and competent. Of course you will always find some bad apples here, but that is true of any place you will go. The activities department here is the best that I have EVER seen in my 30 years of experience and go above and beyond to meet the resident needs. The social services department is also caring and professional. For the most part, the physicians who provide services here are exceptional and provide excellent care. In these days of covid, the staff face many unprecedented challenges and are forced to comply with federal and state mandates that are out of their control and may appear to be rigid and uncompromising, but these issues are beyond their control. Have patience with them and they will provide your loved on with exceptional care.

My post is a sad one. All of the posts you are reading are not current. This is a 2021 post...STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Our loved one was placed there for a recovery. During our loved ones stay there, the nurse is covered up missing medications, allegations of neglect and allowed our loved one to die from complications due to COVID-19. When a call was made to “well check” upon our loved one, the nursing staff did not check on our loved one for 45 minutes. This is a literal crime. These people neglected to check on our loved one in the ethical amount of time to prevent DEATH from Covid. This is a horrible horrible place and I implicitly agree with the review from Gabriela Umpierrez!!! These people lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and cover up and cover up and cover up. It’s infuriating and it is frightening. Please listen to the rumors you hear around town about these people, I believe deep down that Karma will catch up with these people. All of them!

Theese reviews are old. Currently (2020) this place is horrible. The cover up, the lying, the dishonesty that these people have is so hurtful that I wish every one will really do their homework before letting a love one stay there. I know that probably every single nursing home are about the same and you have no choice but please keep your eyes and ears open. Listen to your love one, we think they are just saying things and we dont realized that they are trying to get our attention. To the the way they are been treated at this place. These people are smart in covering up the neglect their residents are sujebted to. Be very careful. Ask questions, go at different times of the day and above all, really really listen to your love one. We did not do that and now she's dead. If someone is interested I will provide more details.

The staff is the most disrespectful staff I’ve ever worked with I thought it was just Las Vegas but no Staff over opinionated about themselves with no knowledge to back it up Ruth DON was the dumbest person I ever met I was suppose to call the police bc one patient couldn’t hear so had tv up too loud and other patient shared the room could hear too well Dumbest bunch of people I have ever met Don’t deserve the rating they have
