The office and maintenance staff at this property are really great. Every email was replied to within a day and every service request was completed within a day or two. Preventative maintenance was communicated in advance, and they really try to create a sense of community with a social page, weekly food trucks, and some resident events. The actual apartments are nice and the pet and parking fees are comparable for the area. I did move out after a year because the rental increase was crazy, but that was handled by Equity Apartments, not the local staff. My interaction with the central Equity office was pretty negative, but everything at the local level was great.

If I could give the leasing agent Hristina and the maintenance staff 10 stars, I would. Sandee Calvert, the manager deserves negative ZERO stars. She is dismissive of tenant's concerns and has been very indifferent when my continuous noise complaints (from above me) have been reported. Her response is always the same, "If staff isn't there to witness the noise, there's nothing that can be done about it". She claims to have spoken to the noisy tenant, but apparently not because the noise continues. There are creaky tubs in the apartments. They are so awful that it's embarrassing to stand in shower because the noise travels to the unit below. I recently had to fight for a new refrigerator because the freezer door continued to fly open after 3 months of complaints and food loss. Sandee refused to give me another refrigerator stating that as long as the the appliance keeps food cold, then I have to deal with it. She is HORRIBLE and very rude. If you move here, you will see for yourself. The auto locks on the rec room door continue to activate shut at 8pm and the sign clearly reads 9pm! I requested that adjustment be made a WHOLE YEAR AGO. She makes excuses galore for things she should be on top of. This would be my 3rd year. On a positive note, my unit is spacious and the view of the courtyard and pool is serene. The lazy river is also peaceful when the water is flowing. I enjoy the pool when it is clean.

UPDATE: My husband and I are very happy at the Westchester Rockville. We've been living here for two years now, and we plan to continue. The building is very well-maintained, the staff is super friendly, great maintenance support. The neighbors are respectful - just need to make sure they clean-up after their pets. PREVIOUS: Just moved-in a few weeks ago. So far, everything is good. Staff is great. Amenities. Location.
