I made an appointment first online first. And there are a few steps you need to do first before you go. I took my birth certificate water bill and mortgage bill. As you are making your appointment there will be different sections online where you can do this. Go online first and go through the process and steps that way you are not wasting time or standing in the heat. Also there was an article that came out on the news and Daily Press. Yes, I was just there last week. There are 2 lines, one for appointments and the other for non appointments. They give you a number then they text you when your number is called. Be prepared the wait is 2 to 3 hours long. You can wait outside but they encourage you to wait in your car.

you will need to fill form DMV 14 for change of address, they won't issue you a new one then. you can download the form or just make appointment to go in, but it always saves time to have everything prefilled so you won't spend a whole day for one thing.

However, if you have an old/expired ID you may use that with your current receipt. The receipt shows your name, ID number, and issue date. MOST places will accept both together.
