Great fishing an picnic area

Stopped, on my way to Crater lake, and checked out the fishing... Lots of bites, but only a few, little trout (which I released, unharmed). Nice day, but a little smoky (the California wildfires...).

Well maintained. Quiet fishing or lounging spot. Relaxing to watch the rafters float by and bald eagles flying overhead (seemed like a nest was nearby) Plenty of shade areas, too. Clean bathrooms, but no soap the day I was there. Pet friendly (keep on leash). Enjoyable "getaway" park now being maintained by Jackson County Parks Dept.
