I liked this place. It's a large campground and was full. We were camped immediately behind the kids playground, so there was much noise from kids doing what kids do. Not a bad thing. Lots of kids on bikes tearing around the campground - yay! Hiking was good. Showers were clean and well maintained. Lots of dogs. Typical of Oregon state parks, lots of campfires going at any given time. A couple of campers across the road serenaded is on banjo and guitar.

Lots of trails. You can ride your bike on them. Lots of things to do, from boating, paddle boarding, ATV riding, hiking, fishing, etc.

Otherwordly! Such a fun place to explore the dunes. Easy to get to, easy to navigate. Good signage, clean restrooms. You can buy a parking pass from an automated kiosk.

From all I'm hearing and experiencing this State Park is in high demand much of the season..but as luck would have it, it's open all year round. There's plenty of time to get a taste of nature accompanied with all your modern conveniences like hot water, showers, restrooms, toilet paper and squeaky clean sites and accommodations... there's trails to lakes, dune's, and if the mood strikes you're 5 minutes from the town of Florence. Florence is a nice, clean town, quiet, and has everything ( except Starbucks) for whatever needs you have. Minutes away from your local grocery & gas station... movie theater or personalized family owned diner...you won't be disappointed.

Maybe try looking up state parks and going to that website. Will probably be a .gov.us site. Hope that helps.
I'd imagine as many as you can rightfully fit in each site. As a former wildland firefighter, we would take up every square inch of a site for our crews.
No showers in the yurts but great bathroom facilities in the park with showers as well.
As of the 25th General Advisory Camp fires and briquettes in approved fire rings/bbq's and propane fire pits are allowed in coastal state park campgrounds adjacent to the ocean shore. No fires are allowed in any state park day use area fire pits or bbq grills, and recreational fires are prohibited on all Oregon beaches.
Yes Nancy there is plenty spots. If you drive back by big restroom north side of lake plus if you stay right on every turn and when come to first parking spot there is a cement kayaking dock perfect for my 15' foot Canoe. Cleawox Lake is wonderful.
I think the camping is still closed. Day use only.
No sorry no cable ☹️
It's good that's what I do there there's a dock kind of thing near the day use parking lot that's a good place to fish from also I've been successful there before also
Yes
Check with local, county, and state ordinances for open fire. During the dry hot summer days and forest fires some open fires are banned. Sometimes including barbeques...
ATV Access from the park only October 1 through April 30. * H Loop (sites 350 - 417) is the ONLY access point for ATVs.
Yes!
No have never heard them
Not exactly but there are dunes like the beach you can go hike on
You can't in the sand dunes at the park/next to the lake... But you can off H loop and nearby.
Yes
I think you can check in any time after 1, but not sure. Probably earlier if it's empty. Check out time is 11 - that I remember 😊
I believe so, with an additional vehicle charge. Typically $7 - $12 at most state parks in Oregon.
Check their website. It lists the size and what amenities ate available for each site.
You have to pay in advance. If there are any unreserved sights when you show up you can pay at that time
You can rent canoes and paddle boat $10 an hour for each.
The A loop.
Go to welcome center in F loop. The host can rent it to you. They have a combo. The keys are in a lock box on the yurts.
Yes to fire ring and yes to electricity in yurts heater too. No cooking inside yurts.
The ban has been lifted at Honeyman State Park.
Check in is anytime after 4pm, and quiet time hours are after 10pm. It probably doesn't matter how late you check in if you do a self pay check in, as long as there are sites available.
There's a dog park with a lake on South Jetty Road. It's only a few miles away. The ocean beaches are pretty lenient about dogs running free. You need to leash them between the beach and the car, though.
