My wife tried to take driver license permit at DMV Fair Oak today 07/08/2022 at 1:20 PM. My wife got a new green card, and USPS officials change of address ( showed her last name only / our culture we do not change last name after marriage). The black lady who worked at the front desk rejected official change of address from USPS, because the form only showed my wife last name only ( it worths to mention it was accepted at USCIS field office, and it is an official change of address issued by USPS). My wife also has two official Truist Bank Statements of April and March 2022, and they were both rejected on the ground too old to accept. Caution is a good thing, however just taking an exams with a small children with us is very inconvenient for nothing. Hopefully DMV manager make it more convenient for people who just take an exam only.

Employees are so helpful and knowledgeable in what they do! Service was quick and efficient! Korean lady was super helpful and took only 2-3 mins to resolve my problem that I've been having trouble with at other DMV locations. Quick note, they do not answer the phone and it is hard to find the entrance to this DMV office. Once gps leads you to Sushi On, enter through JCPenney.

I never thought there would be a time when I’d sing the praises of a DMV office, but the VA office at Fair Oaks Mall deserves it. My husband and I went there yesterday to renew our driver’s licenses and get Real ID replacements. We arrived at 8:05 and walked out at 8:50. Every one of the employees we encountered was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. Well done, DMV!

The wait wasn't too long, didn't even finish an episode of my show! Speedy once I got to the window. You just have to pay attention to your number being called- some people got skipped over because they weren't paying attention. Look ahead to see what documents you need to bring!

The mall doors are open by then. Easiest way to the DMV is if you enter through the mall entrance by Sushi On - Park on the ground level of the parking garage. Follow signs for JCPenney, the DMV is just to the right of the JCPenney mall entrance.
How old the emissions test last before you cannot use it
Yes, you can also call the DMV directly and pay over the phone.
Not at Fair Oaks! Only at Westfield DMV — EZ PASS office.
No
Yep
Study the signs as much as possible miss one and your done
No, I think most DMVs in VA are appointment only and they're offering various services online as well. I would check out their website.
You can find all the information at www.dmvnow.com
Yes 8am to 12pm.
None in northern VA. You can go there and refresh the appointment schedule (online) many times. If someone doesn't show up for their appointment, there I'll be hole for you to jump in. That's how I got in. Other than that, the appointments are far in the future.
Try online...but I am not really sure
Calling but they give them in 2 Months approximately
We bought a car from a private seller and we sent the paperwork by mail. It took 4 weeks to get the license plates. Yes you have to make an appointment if you want to go in person to the DMV office. Check the appointment scheduling every couple of hours hopefully you find a cancellation.
You need an appointment
Yes but you have to have an appointment. Go on line to DMVNowVa for more information.
Dmvnow.com
no you have to have an appointment
Unfortunately no. In this area the DMV's at Fair Oaks and the Metro DMV on Washington Blvd in Arlington, do not do road skills tests, because of limited parking there, they only do the knowledge tests. Do to COVID Road Skills tests at all other DMV's may be limited, check out dmvnow.com for road test times, and to make an appointment. ALL services at the DMV are now done by appointment only. Check the site many times a day for appointments. (After Midnight appointments for the next 90 days open up, one person I saw had an appointment at 9:30 AM on a Saturday they made the appointment at 1:00 AM that morning.)
Arnaz, you can change it online. if you need new Driver's license with the updated address then you have to get an appointment for it.
Unfortunately I'm fairly sure you need an appointment for an original license. If it's a renewal you may be able to do it online
Go to the VA DMV website - it will have all the info you need. You will need to make an appointment... be prepared to wait a few months.
Yes
Yes , They took a new photo when I was there.
Location is closed
I do not know of any guidelines. What ever you must do, do today, or see if you can do it on line. All DMV's are closed, 3/18/20 until 4/2/20
No. Only appointments are for Road Skills Test. But you can do a number of transactions on line, (dmvnow.com) by mail, at a DMV Select, or a Mobile Site
An Indian license is valid in the US for only one year IF the license is in English and you have a copy of your I-94 (usually in your passport) with you while driving. Enjoy your visit!
Mall security opens the mall doors (not the stores) at 7 AM
For a certified copy of your marriage certificate, contact the vital records office in the state where you were married. You'll find instructions on how to request a copy and information on any fees.Jun 24, 2019https://www.usa.gov › replace-vital-...
No.
As soon as the doors at the mall Open, look for the entrance where the Pollo Pollo restaurant is.

Yes. Closed July 4th & July 5th. Open July 6th.
Most places accept a passport for identification, you should be fine.
You need to call them directly ASAP. You may need to go through the process of getting a replacement.
Go to DMV.org, it will tell you what documents you need to get a new licence. If your license wasn't expired, it's a minimal fee for replacement.
8am-12pm on Saturdays
$2 per year, mnimum $10, maximum $16.
Yes, but they stop testing a half hour before closing. For Saturday, that means you have have your testing ticket before 11:30.
No it will close on Monday but open today. U have to be there before 11
Yes it's open on Saturday, if you are taking a test they close at 11:30 for that and the lines can be long.
No. Closed Monday and Tuesday
Yes they do
VA DMV has a fee sheet on their website to help you know what your fees will be. Here's a link: www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/pdf/dmv201.pdf
Yes, as long as the car is under your name and the address is accurate. It is public information unless things have changed latelt
On DMV.org, it says fines run between $145-$220 after all fines are paid. Check here for all info - https://www.dmv.org/va-virginia/suspended-license.php
Yes, it will be in your registration renewal notice that you get from the DMV.
I've never called, I go to the website. They are trying to get more people to use it. https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/#/ The hours are: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
You have to wait in line for everything. They seem to divide up the requests into groups that require similar amounts of time to do, so even in a crowded room you can get it done quickly.
Not in print. On line. dmvnow.com
Go to this website - https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#applying_learners.asp
They are open on Saturdays until noon.
You have to have a "Dmv Now" account which you set up online but have to call customer service for a password pin. Once that's done go to online services and click renew license. But if you have renewed your license any other way (phone, mail, touch to be or online) your previous time, you must go into dmv to renew
No, if u r active duty then ur registration is ur home if record. (Wherever ur from)
Theres a list of the forms of ID you need on the DMV website. You can also get a new one completely online.
No
Actually, yes, you can. If you were born in Virginia, have a photo i.d. and a s.s. card, it costs $14 at any full service dmv (and fair oaks is full service).
yes and yes.
You cant. In order to keep your car youll need to pay all of those. Once something expires, you'll then get hit with late fees. Yeah, it's all part of car ownership my friend.
Depends on what time you arr there. Min of 2 hours
They dont open sundays
You must inform DMV as soon as possible ..... For the record they will take care of it .... You must go there physically to make sure that are informed ......
Bring in your title and tell them you need to register it for VA. Youll probably get a temp registration and a time window in which to get it inspected.
