Doesn't feel safe at all. Staff and security are biased and racist.

This was the worst place I’ve been. An the don’t support u or try to point u in the right direction. An they try to think there better then the homeless people there. I’m referring to the staff. An they don’t feed you the right nutrition. So if u have Diabetes or kidney problems. They just feed u with whatever can be donated. I’m just being honest
Lila “bighead” Cee
They argue with residents, are unprofessional, even steal your stuff. THE WORKERS! A few are nice, community advocates. Thank God for them.
Amy Fritz
It makes me nervous there the people outside are not so nice it's kinda scary ,I don't want to go there I'm being honest.

This so called emergency shelter made me wait for 3 days and nights in their parking lot... waiting for an "available" room. My feet froze solid and turned blue causing me all kinds of health problems. NO! THAT is NOT what an emergency shelter is supposed to do to people! As far as I know, you have to call them early in the morning and only hope that they can find room for ya. Of the 3 different shelters I stayed in in the Omaha/ Council Bluffs area...this was by far the nastiest one I was in. BUT when I went back because I was cold and it was close to Christmas...there was no room at the Inn. Personally, I think the womens dorms need to be rebuilt to look similar to the men's dorms...AND I think that it should be illegal for those facilities to get any kind of grant if they aren't willing to move around everything they can to accommodate people who are truly homeless. It's sad to know that over 500 people died in 2017 because of the way those facilities have learned to defraud...
Yes our dock is located on 17th street. 1111 N 17th. 8-5pm
They can't leave.. But call amd see if U can visit.
If they are unopened then yes we do 😄
You have to bring it to the donations dock yourself. The dock is on the right side of the shelter behind a gate. The gate is open most of the day.
The Magis Clinic is here for you to get a referral
There are translators
It is drug infestation and drug dealers everywhere this is a horrible place to be especially when you are homeless
They close their doors at 9PM.
Separating definitely helps, as mens and womens clothing are processed and distributed in different buildings. You can drop them off together, but labeling the bags and informing the volunteer attendant helps. God bless!
Yes. You have to be there by 5:30 pm
Yeah you and your daughters c an go down there to get shelter and anything else you need you will want to go to the back parking lot and go up to the gate and ring the buzzer for the female side of seanna Francis they will help you out
Everynight at about 4:30 you can go to the kitchen and sign up to serve food to the homeless guests there. There are other things you can do like like sort donations, or MAYBE office-like things if you go to the woman side of the shelter during the day and ask for the supervisor.
I'm not staying there but I pick a drop off
I believe that they do, they also have need of gently used clothes it would be greatly appreciated
Do not go here with children ma
Hold on to those important documents for sure they will help you when you go to get i.d the shelter gives you a badge with photo and name so you can use that as i.d. temporarily because if your staying there they have an address. Good luck
Siena Francis 17th & Nicholas St

Corner stone church
Call them. They are very nice and will be able to give you a better answer then you'll get here
I think so
Yes
On Saturday the dock is closed on Sundays
They have a storage thing that they put winter coats in. If people there can't get a good coat than they sell cheaps ones at the Salvation Army store on Dodge or your able to go out to Open Door Mission on Wednesdays at 9 & they usually always have coats.
Checks
Those things may be needed if this is your first time. Many homeless people have nothing like that. We are issued a Service Point card. That is required to check into or out of the main building. You will also be asked to show it at meals. The card is supposed to help you get other resources. Other than ID, you may want pepper spray & a knife, just in case. Just be careful. If you can stand, make friends with the onsite cops. Remember the 10pm lockdown.
Yes, try the sienna francis house and the stephan center ( has another name too). Both have seperate shelter for men and women and housing for kids usually with mom and dad can join for meals. If you need to come to lincoln, the people's city mission is good too. I stayed at all 3 and all were safe.
They kicked me out because of some ulcers that are healing and looking very good for me to have been doing most of the care of my legs and my legs are doing great per the Dr.s at the hospital and I am very happy with the progress of my legs and ankles
I don't know and they won't tell you over the phone because privacy and confidentiality issues
Dinner is served starting from 5pm to 630pm. With 630 PM being the last of 4 servings.
The rehabilitation is voluntary. This is not a lockdown facility except for the detoxification at the very beginning of your stay. I would have to say "Yes" that you would be able to keep your cell phone...
It used to be a real estate agency that managed those apt. You would have to ask @ the desk right inside thedoor
Yes. There are showers in the main building, and a man / woman's shower trailer that is available to the public anytime before 10 p.m.
Yes you can
I don't believe they have a drop off forniture The Open Door door does but they violate disabled people I am one with a service dog and they won't allow me to stay there
Yes, there are computers to use in the Service Center. There is also free WiFi for your mobile phone and/or laptop
Safe if you keep to your self staff allows a lot of threats no lockers there is a lot of thrift
No they do not unless informed by authorities to help be on the watch for a specific person
No pick up . dinner service is at 5 pm . you have a day house to shelter in during the day .the 18 bus runs 2 blocks away for transportation.
No it's not religious based, they don't force anything on anybody for their beliefs.
I worked for Charles Drew homeless clinic and one location was inside the mens side and these men are NOT scary people. Most of them are as normal as you and I and they are NOT all druggies and drug addicts. Some are people who lost their job, then home and ended up there. Unfortunately, most who own their homes do not understand what one needs to move into an apt. First, you'd better have good credit, deposit equal to 1 months rent or 1st and last months rent plus current rent. Then most apts make you pay all utilities so add those deposits. A lot of the homeless work but hard to save that kind of money and care for their current daily needs. Some are the elderly, earning pensions and as and don't want to lose all of it for a senior comunity, just to be thrown out when the money is gone. I loved my job and had little fear. Now don't get me wrong, a lot have psychological issues and could be a little scary if you teach our youth to be afraid instead of explaining the truth. :-)
If I know that they did i would called the cops about it
Call this morning and ask. There is also the Lydia House and The Stephens Center.~KK~
I went to Sien Francis House to volunteer 3 times, every time I was hoping that stuffs won'tb act like their clients, rude,
If don't want anything valuable stolen don't bring it.
You just need to know the last four of your social security number, your birthday, and your name
