The Cordelle

We got married at the Cordelle in July 2021 after postponing from September 2020. All of our vendors were extremely accommodating about the postponement, except the Cordelle. They tried to make us have the wedding at the height of COVID in Tennessee, even though state laws had forbidden large gatherings (and dance floors). After hours on the phone with them, they finally allowed us to postpone until July 2021, but charged us the same amount for “peak” autumn season despite it being the hottest month of the year. As we were finalizing wedding details with them, they would tell us we couldn’t do certain things that were never written into the contract, like put the (moveable) bar on the grass or serve shots. The day of the wedding they were extremely rude to our guests at send-off time–it was pouring rain and thunderstorming, and they made our guests stand outside to wait for cabs/Ubers, even though our event didn’t end for 15 more minutes. On the plus side, the venue is pretty, our pictures are beautiful, and they let you bring in whatever vendors you prefer so you can customize your day and save money in certain places. A beautiful day, but not nice to work with at all.

I have been a photographer in the Nashville area for several years and had heard great things about the Cordelle. It certainly lived up to that and more! The staff at the Cordelle was so accommodating, organized and kind and the property itself has a gorgeous garden area along with a cozy reception hall and EPIC bridal suite. I can not say enough good things about this venue!

My daughter's wedding was last weekend at the Cordelle and it was amazing!!! The venue itself is gorgeous. The ceremony was held in the Victorian room which was so intimate with candles burning in the old fireplaces. In addition, the large reception area, porch and outside lawn area provided everyone with so many places to spend the evening. There was a beautiful loft for the wedding party to congregate during the day before the ceremony. You could bring in lunch, drinks etc and it was a place to get away if you wanted to. Many pictures like the first looks were taken in the beautiful room with the mirror upstairs. The owner was lovely and met us when we delivered our decorations. All of the wedding planners were top notch. They were detail oriented and so friendly and accommodating. The wedding ran like clockwork and followed the detailed timeline. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The planners took care of everything. We liked that the Cordelle had an open vendor policy so you could choose any vendors you wanted. This enabled us to personalize the entire ceremony. Our guests raved that it was the best wedding they ever attended. I would recommend the Cordelle to any bride looking for a gorgeous venue a mile away from Broadway in Nashville.
