Dr. Yee was able to put my treatment resistant bipolar depression into partial remission May 2021. He is the smartest and kindest doctor I have met. He and his staff provide phenomenal customer service and can move my ketamine infusions when I need to be seen sooner.

Would highly recommend Boston MindCare. Dr. Yee and his staff are the best you will find. First off, they understand it is hard to be on a waitlist, and try to get you into the clinic as quick as they can. We pay out of pocket, because insurance does not cover it, but it is absolutely worth every penny. This has been the only relief I have gotten after many other therapies and medications. I always feel safe, informed and comfortable during treatments. The waiting and treatment spaces are relaxing and clean. The staff is great with scheduling and they are highly responsive to text chats if you have questions or issues. One time when I did need Dr. Yee after a transfusion at around 9pm, he called me within 15 minutes to help. The level of care is really incredible. Boston Mindcare is a compassionate clinic with remarkable levels of care; I highly recommend for those seeking ketamine treatments.

Coming to Boston MindCare has been life-changing—after many years of treatment-resistant depression, trying all kinds of different medications and therapies, coming here for ketamine infusions has been the first thing that's really given me substantial improvements. Previous things I'd tried had either had no effect, or small decreases in symptoms—things on the order of getting through the day being slightly more manageable. The effects I've gotten here have been on the order of feeling hope and joy in my life again. Part of that is that depression, for me, has always seemed to sort of have two aspects: the presence of negative states, and the absence of positive states. For whatever reason, the ketamine seemed to really do a lot for both, whereas even other partially successful medications I'd tried had only touched the former. It's a been a change from surviving to thriving. Depression's extremely idiosyncratic, and I've known of other people who've had transformative effects from things that didn't work for me, so you never know what'll be the right treatment for you—but reading the other reviews, I don't seem to be the only person who's had a lot of success here, after finding very little with other treatments. If you've been in a state of despairing about the possibility of something working after years of little change, I'd recommend giving it a try here, in case you have anything like the positive experience I've had. It's a lovely and professional place, too, the staff are all welcoming, and Dr. Yee's very thoughtful and attentive; you can tell he really does his job with care. There's a quote I want to include here, something filmmaker David Lynch said about Transcendental Meditation (I haven't tried TM, though I have tried other meditation practices) which feels like conveys something about my experience since coming here. He said: “It’s like dipping a white cloth into gold dye; you dip it and that’s meditation, then you hang it on the line in sunshine and that’s activity. The sun bleaches it until it’s white again, so you dip it and hang it again, and each time you do that a little more of the gold stays in the cloth.” There's something about this that captures the positive changes I've had from the ketamine—or maybe more accurately, from the positive mental states and patterns I've had access to since coming here.

I’m a recently retired veteran, struggling with treatment resistant PTSD for more than 3 years; the treatment I received at Boston MindCare gave me my life back. Dr. Yee is compassionate, empathetic, and is clearly committed to making positive change in the lives of his patients.

Questions & Answers

How long does one infusion last roughly, for example; would I go every 2 -3 months or is this a monthly visit?

Initially you need to do 6 sessions in a span of 2 weeks, virtually every other day. And then follow up depends on the person, some go every month and others once a year. What I CAN tell you is, and I am in no way affiliated w them, it's been a life changer for me. I suffered not only from PTSD n dep5but also from heavy anxiety and panic attacks which also led to claustrophobia which led to not being able to fly etc. All of that has been lifted and now I'm introducing a friend of mine who is a recovering substance abuse to this treatment as well. A few things I can personally add. First of all, any Ketamine treatment center suggests giving you a low dose as possible. Not that the ketamine costs a lot of money, they dont like patients freaking out or throwing up all over the place. But I would ask for the highest dosage possible and keep on going higher. You need to have an outer body experience to reap max benefits. I'm running out of space. IM me on facebook Jeffrey B Lee.
