So glad they are open, because being on hold gives me anxiety. Mr. Prince was very helpful and besides waiting there wasn't an issue. The security guard was funny and helpful.

My gf has multiple times tried to get her disability funds started since issues with family. The agents except two have been unreasonable and as well talk down to her everytime. So we went in person another office said since we moved to the area we'd have to. Only open by appointment saving grace was the older security guard who was nice to us. We will get an appointment if that's even possible. Since she calls and wait almost an hour to just to talk to and agent. Who half the time rushes and talks bad to her. She is autistic and gets upset because of it. This is horrible, and under no circumstances is this acceptable behavior from people who are supposed to help. Especially when they see in her file that she is AUTISTIC. So yeah only two agents and the one security guard are nice and reasonable. The rest should be fired immediately. Update. So my gf had an appointment made for a payee. Called today. Once again this office said they would call at 11am. 11am rolls around no calls nothing her and the prospective payee call. Once again this office says. "OH we don't have any appointment scheduled for you." What is wrong with you people. If you say you are gonna put in an appointment do it. This was two months ago for today.

I was on hold for only 20 minutes. Mr. White was courteous and helpful. He provided me with exactly the information I needed. He patiently allowed me to summarize the information to ensure I had it correctly. Thank you, Mr. White! 3/21/22: I needed to call again and after waiting for only about 15 minutes I was assisted by Mrs. White (no relation) regarding my Medicare issue. She was abundantly helpful and informative. She was clear, direct, patient, and thorough. Thank you, Mrs. White!

I've been trying to apply for my Social Security since August 2021, online and by telephone. I turned 62 on October 19, 2021. After many attempts through both ways, I finally got to speak to someone over the phone today 3/3/22 @9:36am. The young man was not friendly. He showed no respect and refused to listen to me. I was not loud(my coworkers can witness to that) I did not curse or use any bad language. I was just trying to explain my situation and he said I wasn't listening so I told him he wasn't listening to me. He then proceeded to hang up. This person shouldn't be working for this company if he doesn't have the interest in the concerns of the people. All I wanted was some assistance not someone who is there for only the money . Please hire some people with a Godly Heart.

I’ve been hung up on 3 times today, went to the office and the security guy says to call the phone number to set an appointment. After I said I’d been hung up on 3 times, he said “that’s the government for ya”

Get a disability lawyer, you can get his social security.
As soon as possible you can do it 1 month early
Go up there
Make a note of the number that called you as this should be looked into
Yes. But you can go in and talk with them. If you are her caregiver I know that Social security can help.
You are given a form from the clerk or clergy in order to have your name changed. The Social Security office can give it to you also to fill out. Take your marriage license with you.
Yes
My hearing lasted 30 minutes but it really depends on your lawyer and what questions are asked. Good Luck
Full Retirement Age Full retirement age is the age when you can start receiving your full retirement benefit amount. The full retirement age is 66 if you were born from 1943 to 1954. The full retirement age increases gradually if you were born from 1955 to 1960, until it reaches 67. For anyone born 1960 or later, full retirement benefits are payable at age 67. You can find your full retirement age by birth year in the full retirement age chart
Yes
Very difficult, even to get a call back from them. Sometimes at the drop box you can speak to the security guard. The drop box is available from 9 to 4 weekdays.
You can get that online. I happened to go over to the Social Security office yesterday They gave you a paper and feel it out and they will call you then Security guard want let you in but so they paper and put it on there box
In Greensboro..Yes ...when you get there a lady comes out ask you to write tour contact info down and she calls you to set up your appointment easier than calling and waiting like 45min or more to make the appointment.
I personally don't think so. I just went here last week with appointment and you cannot just walk in. They come to the door. Hope this helps!
Good luck. No locations are open to rhe public. Calling for info is your only hope.
Yes you need appointment
not with you at all..
You'll have to call they don't do walk-in appointments
This place is closed due to pandmic....you will have to order online...
Go to courthouse
Office isn't open during COVID, only by appointment
Call them
They want u 2 go online or keep callin till u get lucky
Not open... phone calls only
You can apply for a new card online. You will first need to create an account here, https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/
The man I spoke to said, you can mail in your application, with not a copy but your actual ID or apply for it online, as I did and it work.
It wasn't last week. I had to go online to get my social security card
The office is not open but you can call and sechdule appointment
Ask them
I personally would call them first...but call the Social security administration...not your local office and let them know that you have not received it yet and then go from there.
Go to the office with I'd that is not expired and you can get it mailed to you. It will take 2 weeks and there is no faster way to get it. It is mailed from Baltimore. They are not printed from the office
If you were born in the u.s. yes. If not, you need to get an I 20 and have your 194 and your passport stamped for a student by DHS. Without that, you won't be able to get one.
Go to the courthouse in the county where you were born. You can go to the vital statistics in that state and order one. Just read the instructions really well because if you miss something you won't get your money back and you won't get the birth certificate.
Go in the office
The answer you were given is so incorrect. Yes, you will have to tell us your date of birth, your address, your name... To actually file for disability, we need to know if the person has been working, are they eligible to get the benefits if they get approved. If a kid is involved, we will have to know the parents income and resources, if any. Go to the social security website to see and complete the application. Everything we need is on that website.
A valid driver's license ,and I took my marriage certificate to be on the safe side glad I did because I didn't have the answers in my head .they ask when you where married ,what date ,what city and all that stuff . I don't think it's required but it helped me out alot
You can't. He has to do it. SSA will not give out any information about someone else. He can call or go online and set up an account and get it that way. You will not be able to get it without him.
I my self had trouble trying the online application .they keep asking me questions that were not relevant to me . Such as multiple choice questions and none of them were a opinion in my case . You might have better luck it's worth a try .you need to take a Photo ID with your address on it ,your checking account and routing number and I took my marriage certificate . If your successful doing it on line .you will have to scan all your info and send it to them .My husband did his on line and had no trouble .his questions all lined up .He went with me and said it was less of a hassle at this SS office than it was for him to do it on line
What type of replacement card?
Go to the closest office and get the paper work for change of address
You can only make an appointment to file for benefits, not to get a social security card.
You have to come in and pick a number and have one of the workers update it for you. Its best to be at the front of the line. You can also see if its an option online ssa.gov. setup an account if you don't already have one. They open up at 9:00am people starting showing up as early as 8:00am
Do not reply. It's a scam
You going have to come in and see one of the workers or ssa.gov
It means the stations is sat up in alphabets , when they call your number they are going to say an alphabet first that is the station you go to.
You have to go into the office. not an option online as of yet
Not sure, You can by phone.
They r close on that day
I really do not know, call the s.soc.
No
Where do I go to change my dire
You can do it on line but most of the time you have to go in with pictured Id and ssnumber and birth certifcate
Yes, the address is the same.
Unfortunately no. You have to have a certified birth certificate
No. It has to be mailed.
My mom got permanent disability because of her rheumatoid arthritis.
Call the housing authority office
Go to the office
You need to call the office and have either Social Security numbers and or dates of birth of father-and-son and you as well because we have to see if the benefit dad is getting is a benefit that can be paid to a dependent.
Id card, birth certificate
About 10 days after you apply
I don't work at social security! Call their number and find out when they open.
I have no idea what you're talking about
