Questions & Answers

Verify that Temple Emanuel's Mitzvah Day, Sun, April 26, project can begin at 10 AM. Previously, we were not able to start until 2 PM, but we lost some volunteers because they came to the kickoff rally at 8:30 and wanted to go directly to project.

Brenda, it was great speaking to you a little while ago about Mitzvah Day. We always love the group that joins us, and we are looking forward to hosting them again on April 26th.

What kind of “protein” goods do you want? Does it need to be something that doesn’t need heating? Does it need to be in single servings? Could I send 15 oz cans such as Chef Boyardee beefaroni, etc? Thank you!

Hi Gretchen! Thank you for that question. We accept both individual sized proteins (for our food backpack program) and full size proteins (for our food pantry program). We would love the Chef Boyardee 15 oz cans. Those would be great. Other proteins we accept are beans, peanut butter, tuna, canned chicken, etc. Thanks!
