RCN makes my life worse. It has hurt me in work meetings, I have lost work due to frequent, totally unpredictable outages. Customer service is supremely unhelpful and I have had to go to the Dept of Telecommunications before they took me seriously. MAKE IT STOP

Very unfortunate experience with the new brand, Astound! Raised my monthly bill by $20/month with no notice and would not consider maintaining by prior rate. Additionally, their manager that I spoke with was combative and not well trained in customer service basic protocol

If there was an option it would be zero stars… nightmare started in October! First of all, this guy named Brandon Flevrie came to my door and offered some services. He said I was going to pay $79.95 when the bill came it was $198.06. I called the sales guy and he blocked. Called MANYYY MMMMAAANYYYY times and they did not resolve anything. Once, I spoke to a supervisor who told me to fax the sales order form to Tracy (Boston) - I did After that, they never called me back, I called again for the tenth time and I spoke to Gabriel and he said he was going to give me a credit, I made some payment and today my bill comes to $442.09 - this is unreal - They are scammers for sure, starting with sales guy, then when you call customer service you can never talk to a manager, supervisor, etc - they say I am sorry they are busy WHAT??? Then, Tracy wrote a note on the account saying that after analyzing the sales order form she will even charge more. I had comcast for 15 years and no problem. Regret any second. The photo shows supposedly $149.95 and office use only because he said it was the price I was going to be paying. He even said… if you do auto-pay would be $10 less. When I spoke to customer service they said its $5 not $10. I will review everywhere and make complains.

Customer service at this location was unpleasant enough for me to never recommend RCN to anyone again. Even Comcast is somehow more polite and efficient. I’m hardly one of these “the customer is always right” jerks. But I think the experience I had here on this not busy afternoon is well worth sharing—stay away.

Every CATV company is like that. I live out west and have Charter and Dis Network and never get any deals. Wish I could give better news.
